I just got my mine for 899 I like it better than my g80sd which I’m returning to Best Buy mine is pretty bright

I am glad you got a good unit. I have been using 4k monitors for 7 years. Ips,va,mini led and oled. But to me, this being my first Old monitor. I like mini led so far the best. I like my white to be super white as well as my blacks to be black. And this one just didn't do it for me. But I am also a picky snob when it comes to 4k. Thanks for the comment, and again, glad your happy with yours

I own the Dell Alienware 32" AW3225QF. You do not need to be in a dark room to use it. I use it all day long and have zero issues. The color accuracy is outstanding. There is no gray wash on my unit. It colorful. Might be the most color accurate monitor I have ever seen and I have owned iMacs and Apple displays as well. My secondary monitor is the LG 32GQ950 and even though that monitor was $1299 new, the dell is even better. The curve is so minor, that I hardly notice it. I got mine for $999. Worth every penny. Brighter doesn't mean better. Set the dell at 75 brightness and use Creator mode, not SRGB. They have other picture settings for a reason. You don't buy a $5000 Sony A95L and bring it home and ONLY use standard mode for your picture. And you shouldn't bring this $1200 monitor in, set it on your desk and use SRGB ...... google best settings for the monitor or watch a couple videos on youtube. This monitor is end game. And I am not getting paid to say this. I own it and use it. it's very good if you know how to change settings.

@mgaming7 I 100% disagree with you. I too have the 32gq950-b which is what is right next to it and it blows the alien out the water in whites and colors do to the brightness. The black level is the only place a OLED shines. And yes if I bought a $5000 tv, I should not have to come home and calibrate it. Yes you got to adjust the brightness and contrast to your liking. But that's it. I never said it wasn't colorful. The color are nice and deep. I do use it all day and all night.i have used every mode there is. I am not new to technology, been around this for over 30 years. The average consumer does not want to buy a monitor or TV to have to settle or pay extra to get it calibrated. It's not like buy a camaro ss with 450 hrp and putting a tune to get 500hrp. That's a extra. And I feel this monitor needs extra that the average consumer shouldn't have to do. My review is from my experience, but I have had many comments and seen in plenty of reddit forms of other that say the same thing. My review still stands with my experience

@@Thomaswithtomology You don't have to get it calibrated. Just change a few settings and it's plenty bright. Sorry, disagree, the Dell is way better than the LG even though the LG gets brighter. The color volume alone on QD-OLED can't be matched. That is why the Bravia 9 keeps losing in battles against the Sony A95L. There's 10 videos out there that will give you options to try. Again, brighter doesn't equal better.

@mgaming7 I respect your opinion I really do. But the grey was instead of white no matter what setting i have tried due to the brightness not getting a bit brighter makes this not a good monitor., again in my opinion, and my 2 units I have had. When I do editing on this monitor and post it. It looks like garbage on other devices. But if I color grade on my lg it looks just like how I edited. Again my opinion. And I am not the only one out there. I have seen the LG and asus OLEDS and they don't have the Grey wash on full screen like I do. Again don't get me wrong. In game I love it. But for every day task and editing, I can't stand it

also if you want the preak 1000nits in HDR you need to select other option in the menu no the HDR400 true black HDR400 true black cap the max brightness to around 400 nits in HDR

Brother can u help me? Which monitor should i go for ips or oled
@ThomaswithtomologyАй бұрын
If you want a bright bright monitor, then don't look at oled. My opinion is that oled blacks are really nice to have, but they sacrifice brightness. To get the best HDR 1000, go with oled. I really like ips. But has a small amount of light bleed. I don't notice it, but I know it has it. Again my opinions. And saying that, maybe msi or asus oled are brighter. I don't know. I can only say this Alienware to me sucks. The 0.3 you don't notice at all. 240 is nice but barely any game will get it, maybe on the 5090. I know this mite not help, but that's my opinion. Alienware really disappointed me with this one.

I am going to stick with my IPS for now. I Have friends with that same issue, even on the LGs OLED, I will wait for them to get better brightness before I upgrade. Best of Luck

I love my IPS panels over the years. The little glow never bothered me or messed me up. I mite go back to one if I can find 240hz 4k. If not mite go back to samsung g8 mini led

That's Night and day. I have a Asus Oled and its not eye burning but it don't look grey white compared to my 2nd panel. That is really crazy. Hope you get a better one soon!

Thank you. It will. I will find a different one. Even if I go back to the samsung g8 min led

I got the Asus pg27aqdm. only when you have a full size window with mostly white it will dim slightly. It has been a very nice experience.

the asus monitors also come with the calibration certification :)

@AmandaNutter-hc3dh yeah it's crazy. I will wait till Xmas for any sales. Looking at asus, msi and gigabyte.

What's your dark room experience?
@Thomaswithtomology4 ай бұрын
@zzavatski the same. Colors pop. It's only the whites that bother me. So grayish. I've tried even turning off my second monitor for a couple days, Me personally, I don't think the white is bright enough or the screen has a grayish to it
@Anna_Nash4 ай бұрын
I have the same monitor and mine does it too. I have to turn my other monitor way down so I don't notice it. It bothers me so bad. And not to many people are talking about it. I know we are not the only ones with this issue!
@Thomaswithtomology4 ай бұрын
Yes I do the same on my 2nd as well. It bothered the crap out of me. But I will fine a good replacement.
@christopherarocha924 ай бұрын
I had to turn off 1000 nits HDR on the settings. I had it on and was confused lol it was dim and not bright at all. I was messing with settings and for some reason when I apply Dolby vision bright mode the picture registered at 520 nits according to windows but overall to me the picture had beautiful colors and a brighter overall picture 🤔 anyways I love the monitor now but definitely was odd
@Thomaswithtomology4 ай бұрын
@christopherarocha92 yeah i had to turn Dolby off for the opposite reason. Mine gets darker.lol... colors are amazing, not going to lie. It's just my white levels for some reason,. And test very odd

would u recommand the g8 32 240hz 4k or this aw3225qf?
@Thomaswithtomology4 ай бұрын
@@goodguyfromnyc i would not recommend this AW3225QF. But if strictly playing games its not bad. And viseo editing or use on desktop just has that dirty screen effect. If the whites where white then i would not have a problem with this monitor, and i am on my second one in 9 months. I yhink its just this monitor. I have seen other complaints about it on forms but not other OLED monitors. The G8 from what I have seen is not bad. I am waiting for the gigabyte or msi to go on sale around Xmas.

I said something similar on another channel, and was told to get my eyes checked. I returned the Alienware, was not impressed. Other than blacks being true blacks, I told other visuals were not worth the entrance cost.

Alienware is good for gamings when true dolby vision or HDR kicks in and movies, but for windows my ISP 5k monitor has better whites even with background light bleed, seems if monitor is in widnows mode whites gets more yelow tint. But when gamin colors freaking pops, unbelievable whites and true darks. I will keep just for gaming. And seems if dolby vision not on colors less bright on hdr true black mode. Hate Windows has so poor support.
@Thomaswithtomology3 ай бұрын
100% agree. But I don't just game, which is my problem. I do multi things. So I am disappointed with this monitor. I have friends that have lg and asus OLEDS and I don't see the dirty gray on there's. O well. I will wait for Xmas sales.lol

@Thomaswithtomology this is best for Gameing, movies Monitor when HDR and Dolby vision kicks in, but for windows ISP Im using my stunning 5k dell UP2715K. But for sure I'm keeping alienware monitor, increadible dolby vision HDR colors.
