As a descent of Mexicans and eating real Mexican food, and being born in Texas, and growing up w/Tex-Mex food... I'll say I will give these tasty treats a try. Now, the only thing different i will do is stick to the Mexican cheeses. There are many Mexican cheeses that melt well: Queso fresco (fresh cheese) Añejo (old cheese--don't let the name fool you--that is harder and drier; a crumbly cheese) Cotija (an aged cheese) Oaxaca (stringed cheese, as it's known) Panela (it's a 'flexible/bendable' cheese) Chihuahua cheese (similar to white cheddar) Requesòn (Mexican 'mozzarella') Asadero (perfect melting cheese w/a mild flavor) Manchego (similar to a sharp cheddar) I have subbed to your channel and look forward to more delicious videos.❤

I will accept that these recipes are good. However, they do not qualify as authentic Mexican in my book. At 68 years old and living my life in Texas, USA, Mexican food has been a staple for all ethnic groups in Mexican border states. I grew up with many of my friends being Mexican-American. This is not how they cook traditional Mexican food.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and your experience with Mexican cuisine. Don't bring up the title of the video so directly, we are offering alternatives and an idea of what you can make instead of burritos and tacos. Authenticity in food can vary greatly depending on region, tradition, and personal interpretation. While these recipes may not align with your specific expectations of traditional Mexican cuisine, I appreciate your feedback and respect your viewpoint based on your background and cultural experiences.

But your title literally says " Old Mexican trick". Perhaps you shouldn't be so direct if you don't want to be taken directly. "Alternative" or "based on" would have been more correct. You may use ingredients that are in Mexican cuisine but it is not "Mexican". Just because you use chorizo in a recipe doesn't make it Mexican. Don't claim what you don't have. I like your channel but be prepared for the criticism when you mislead people. I cook authentic mexican food but also cheat sometimes and my Mom, who is Mexican, knows when I cheat. And she lets me know the way only a Mom can. You put out a lot of good recipes on your channel and I think you don't need to trick people to come and view your recipes. Keep it real.@@WebspoonWorld

Yeah, there's no "old Mexican trick" involved, it's clickbait.

4:57 In America, pickled cucumbers are simply called pickles.
@natviolen40218 ай бұрын
then what do you call the other pickled vegetables?
@K_2588 ай бұрын
Yes,fine but the world is not only America,show some respect to other nations please.

І You are mistaken, pickled cucumbers are made with the addition of vinegar, pickled cucumbers are those prepared without vinegar. It seems you are not aware of such details.
@JudyLeeThurber8 ай бұрын
He called them marinated cucumbers. I'm guessing that's different than picked cucumbers, but I'm not sure how.
@natviolen40218 ай бұрын
@@zoiarabinovich7369 Maybe there is some inconsistency in the naming. Pickled to me means preserved in vinegar, water and spices. Preserved in water and salt by lactofermentation is fermented. Depending on where you live, "pickled" is used for the method you use most. But either way, it does not apply to cucumbers only.

Where’s the Mexican food? Basil on everything. No frijoles? This is click on how to use a “tortilla sheet.” 😂 😂😂😂

Very creative. It is fascinating to watch how other cultures cook similar ingredients. Where is this filmed? What type of meat minced meat was used? It was greaseless which is rare here in the States.

People! The bacon is NOT raw!! If you look at the ingredients, you will see, "Smoked bacon". The operative word being, 'smoked'.
@aricbuckholt2938 ай бұрын
Smoked doesn't necessarily mean it is safe. There are different ways to smoke, and if it was cold smoked, or did not reach certain temps for an certain period of time, you still need to be careful. The other thing I would wonder about is the texture. It doesn't seem like it would get much texture from being inside, so what does it chew like? It is interesting, just wonder what it really turns out like.

Love the slowmo, hahaha. This is good stuff, and it's presented nicely. I find a lot of this kind of content is chock full of just people carrying on and on. Nice to see someone appreciates getting to the point. Subbed.

#1 I think would be good with some Feta, Onions ,Green Peppers,Sliced black Olives and sliced pickled yellow banana peppers. Just like a Greek Pizza. #6 If you slightly warm the big tortilla it won't crack when folding it over the small tortilla before frying.

Last year I taught my 9 year old Granddaughter how to beat two eggs and put them in a small frying pan with a lid. When the eggs are cooked through she sprinkles it with mozzarella, puts the lid back on, then turns off the heat. When she can see that the cheese is melted, she adds a tortilla on top, presses it down and then turns the pan over so her creation drops onto the counter. Sometimes she rolls it up and sometimes she just folds it in half but either way, she has the best time making her own breakfast now. 💖

@@WebspoonWorld I have to tell you, I was in the restaurant business for more than a few decades, starting out in fast food like most teenagers and ending as an executive chef in the fine dining restaurant of a large hotel. Your KZbin page is the only cooking site I subscribe to. I've learned quite a few kitchen and cooking tricks over the years but your site never ceases to amaze me. We never used air fryers, mainly because they weren't invented yet, so watching you make so many different things in an air fryer always astounds me. The combinations of seasonings you use and the varying different ingredients from other places also intrigues me. I enjoy watching your videos because they're filmed so well, the lighting, slow motion and angles make your videos unique. But mostly, I enjoy your videos because of You. Your accent and the tone of your voice are relaxing and the way you handle food not only shows skill but a true respect for the products you use. Your true love of cooking and food shows through to all who watch. 💖
