DON'T BUY the A7III [in 2023]

Valid points but depends on many things. I bought an A7C and sold it 4 months later because the EVF is terrible. If you're only going to do video, then sure, A7C is the way to go, but if you like to take pictures, the A7III is a much better option. Also if were talking second-hand, the A7III is about 1000$ cheaper than the A7IV in my country, so it's hard to pass.

I bought an A7iii for €850 with the kit lens just a month or so ago, only a shuttercount of 172. For reference the cheapest A7C I can see now is €1500 for the body alone. I think recommending the A7C over the A7iii is nothing but clickbait.

@@curiouscyclist865 That's a terrific price! I bought one for 1200 body only, last month. Still a great price for me, haven't seen them cheaper in Spain and I'm using it almost everyday :)

Yea I would say it's a very good option. Not many upgrades were made on the photography side of things in the A7IV and the A7C so yea the A7iii still holds up.

I don't know much about other brands but for Sony I'd say the A7C is really the best option for a budget hybrid camera.

@@mrfryfilmguy they are. If you like the controls and don't mind tilting screen go for a7iii. In case of a7c, it lacks controls buttons (including front dial) but has fully articulating screen and smaller body. Of course EVF is also different in those cameras. Apart from the points above, they are pretty much the same on technical side.
