@@YulisiaChristine If you want something that's easy to carry around, and that you can hold in one hand, the Mini is best. If you want something you can use instead of a laptop computer, with a Bluetooth keyboard, then a larger one might be better. Same if you want to use it to do artwork or illustrations, you probably need a bigger screen. But the Mini is just as capable as the larger ones for most things, it's just the size that's different. If you primarily just want a portable media player, web browser, and to play a few games then get the Mini.

From my perspective the iPad Mini works best as a larger iPhone; which was the original purpose of iPads in the first place. Think about everything you do on your iPhone. Chances are the iPad Mini does those things better. The Mini is not designed to replace a laptop, kindle, tv, phone, etc. It’s a jack of all trades device, the most pure tablet in Apple’s lineup. Unlike the larger iPads, which are attempting to be pseudo laptops.

I bought an iPad Mini Cellular 8 years ago. I did not like it for browsing - I use my 14" laptop for that and an Apple TV for viewing. After 8 years of ownership, I use my Mini almost exclusively when I "TRAVEL" - to do the following - with % used - give or take: #1- as a GPS unit in a vehicle - the best GPS ever (70%) #2 - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA (25%) #3 - as an eReader (4%) #4 - the odd miscellaneous task (1%) After these years, that's about all I have used the mini for (I don't game) Otherwise it sits in a drawer. Since it is on it's last leg (but not dead) - I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out later this year.

I'm not really into photo editing... but the mini is my fave for it's portability, the screen size is enough for me for watching videos and movies, and when I travel or go out somewhere, I prefer smaller bags to carry and the mini fits perfectly and I have smaller hands😅

I find it to be a great complimentary device. My phone is my phone, my MB is my MB and my Ipad is my Ipad. I don't expect it to be anything else. It's good to read on, toss in a bag when I don't feel like taking the Big Kahuna (MB) out, watch YT and play a few games. I actually downsized from my Ipad 11.

What you said serves for all iPads. Why read in an iPad (mini, pro, air) if you have a kindle? Why watch netflix in an iPad (mini, pro, air) if you have a 5 inch TV and why edit photos on an iPad (mini, pro, air) if you have a laptop? I actually use my iPad Pro 11” relatively often. Particularly for media consumption, writing and actual notes, mind maps, stuff like that, as well as a wireless second screen when I’m on my Mac. Personally, it was a better choice for me. But Ingenerally agree, most people don’t utilize their iPads. Thanks for watching!

I have a M1 Pro and a mini and of course an iPhone. The mini is by FAR my favorite device. Fits in my pocket, increased productivity work flow and it looks better to be on an iPad rather than a phone. I’m doing the same thing the iPad just makes everything seem more official. I am a student so most days I can just take phone watch mini and AirPods and a pen to school and that’s enough for the day

I use my mini to read after making a few adjustments, they’re basic adjustments that improve quality of life for reading, things like using a red light filter, reducing white point and using greyscale, matte scp etcc can quickly solve glaring & light issues.

Nah, I'm good thanks. A 4k display with a 12mp camera is superior to my own phone. The mini is the perfect size for my sling as well, I don't need a full size laptop bag. Nobody needs a tablet if they have a full-size laptop or are at home. Keyboards are fine even in portrait mode - far superior to that of my phone. such issues can be resolved with a bluetooth keyboard anyway. Tablets in general are on the way out, but the mini is currently the best 8" tablet around. Android has no competitors.

The ipad mini in my opinion is a great gaming tablet. That is the only reason I would ever buy this one if I ever do. And unfortunately, there is no alternative for this form factor and power in the Android world to my knowledge.

Sorry, i don't really agree with the title after watching your video. 1. Size matters, most of the iPad mini users bought it because it's the best size on your hand,lightweight to carry around. 2. iPad mini6 is not only for certain group, it's for those who wants to have a one hand personal tablet with good value and price.(Best design iPad when combine with apple pencil) 3.Even if you have different device or monitor, it's still the best size to read,draw,carry around and or even make it as a control device for your home. 4.Since i bought the iPad mini6, i didn't really use my MacBook pro that much.That's just my personal experience. 5. Thanks. There’s so much hype about the mini that it’s good to hear another perspective. I have an 2018 12.9”, which I love and use for media consumption. But it’s too heavy to take out sketching, so I bought a mini a few months ago. It’s perfect for carrying, but the menus don’t leave much room for drawing. I also found it too small to edit photos or enjoy videos, so I took it back and exchanged it for the M1 Air. For me, that’s a better choice. In terms of reading, I have read on my iPhone or iPad in a pinch, but nothing replaces my kindle. It gives a totally different reading experience.

M1 Air sounds like a great option for drawing. I like sketching anything from mind maps, ideas, up to concepts for thumbnail etc on my M2 Pro 11" which is also really nice.

I travel via motorcycles and kayaks, and the small size of my mini allows me to document my trips. I have a keyboard case that is small, but useable. My videos are not complex, so the small screen isn't an issue (I hook the Mini up to an external monitor for final editing). I use the built in cameras for capturing any video that doesn't require a go pro. The lack of GPS is annoying, as I have to use a cheap Samsung tablet for over water navigation. I have an iPad Air which I rarely use. Too big, too heavy.

Watching this on my iPad Mini 6. 😂 After buying this I practically never use my phone anymore. I don’t fit into any of the demographic groups you mentioned. I just wanted something with a bigger keyboard and screen than an iphone (while still being relatively compact) for consuming content and using facetime and iMessage. For that, this device reigns supreme. Doesn’t have 90hz, but after a few days it’s unnoticeable. The camera is trash, but all phone cameras are trash if you own and know how to use a high quality mirrorless camera system. Speakers arent loud but they sound good and you can just use airpods pro to get the best experience. I also find myself preferring the touchid to face id since i can have half my face buried in a pillow and still unlock it instantly. Theres nothing out there at this size that competes. If this is the perfect size for you, just buy it.

The iPad mini is the best Apple device to date. I bought it as an e-reader and maybe for some light gaming. In the end I sold my iPad Pro M2 because I found myself using the iPad mini for everything I used the iPad Pro before. Note taking, reading, studying, browsing, media consumption, music production. The iPad mini became my main computing device on the go because it fits in every coat pocket. I don‘t even have to carry it around in a backpack.

I bought the Mini and could not get used to the small screen. I had a PRO and sold it for the Mini. Before you buy one of these make sure you're ok with a small screen. I sold my Mini for an Air 4. Live and learn. In the end this cost me about $200. I should have kept my PRO. Live and learn.:(

During the first half of the video, I was just starting to type about the situations where it is amazing and then you go and mention them 😅 Great well rounded view. I love my mini and I have young kids and I’m a teacher so it works for some quick digital proofreading, harder for my kids to break, easier to take it with us, and the perfect size to entertain them while at a restaurant. You just aren’t to target market for the mini. And you made a great point about reading. I have a kindle from 2015 that I haven’t used since my oldest was born but if I could read a book, I would be picking up my kindle over my mini. Nothing beats a kindle for reading!

You must be the only one to not think it’s and great device and that’s not understandable. Everyone has traded or sold the bigger and faster iPad Pros and Airs for this Mini 6. Pretty obvious for most people. Two friends run their KZbin channel with the Mini and 3 friends run their photography business on it. Yes may not have the fastest GPU for games but gets 60 fps on the most graphical game out so plenty fast. Best iPad out by far, if you don’t make view for clickbait.

I think too many ppl try to use it outside its intended area. It's not and is not gonna be a true replacement MacBook of any level (substitute relief as best for certain task). Most of us already have a iPhone so it absolutely compliment this. If you needed that big job performance you should just get the smallest MacBook instead or if don't care about compact and never take it about, get a big MacBook. A real keyboard & trackpad & full Mac OS. I use all 3 in the system but a slightly bigger iPad Pro for sitting in place media consumption or work projects in photography. If I'm popping out the door, I'm almost never taking just the big iPad Pro but if I need work load, I go for the MacBook Pro at same size/space in kit bag. And even then my Mini 6 still comes as its a use on the go in hand. It really depends on your needs or usage. For me, mini is an extension of my iPhone for more screen or my iPad Pro 10" is a sort of smaller sidekick to the MacBook Pro 16" And an iPhone 13 Pro Max is always there anyway. The Apple Watch if you choose is more of a compliment but most can live without.

Let me get more reviews by saying the opposite but keep it in my possession says nobody…. I sold my M1 1tb 16gb ram 12.9 iPad Pro and bought me a mini. I miss nothing about it. I do wedding photography and mix engineer music. I enjoy making music with the mini. Editing photos on any iPad is limiting anyway from my stand point. Batch processing still sucks and that goes for the pro versions as well because they all work the same. My 16 M1 Pro MacBook Pro handles my photos so good and adobe camera raw is so flawless and fast it doesn’t make sense to use any version of the iPad to edit photos. There are features with the new A.I. technology for selecting faces, eyes, lips, eyebrows etc. they haven’t even added to the iPad app and probably won’t. I’ve edited example photos on the mini same results I got from the pro. The only thing I wish they did was give more memory options. But, from here on out the mini is the right iPad for me can wait for future updates and maybe one day a pro version with an M chip and 2tb of memory.

Thanks for this. I was wondering why all the sudden hype about the iPad Mini on KZbin until I also realised that there are rumours that the Mini “may” get an upgrade and this is a good way of getting rid of stock before the new one comes out. After reading some of the comments I also see that the Mini is right for some and not others. The best summary I saw in another KZbin video was that if you’re just a content consumer, it’s right. If you’re a creator (as you are) then you may need a larger device. One tuber even said that, when travelling, he uses his MacBook 13” for “real work” and the Mini for consumption. So there you have it. There will always be the “Mini Evangelists” and the detractors, but I think it’s all part of a cunning plan to sell the Series 6 Mini before a Series 7 comes out next year!

Nice vid man!, I do love my ipad mini but I kinda can see why it wasn't for you, the mini it's perfect for media consumption and having 3 big TVs around the house kind of defeats the propose of media consumption device, I do read a lot for school and edit photos on LR and never felt that it was too bright to read, I mean you can change that easy, and on the app it's super nice to edit with the apple pencil, for anything else that requires a bigger screen I rather do it on my MB, for me as an everyday guy, student and photo edit afisionado, it's just perfect, super light super pocketable and if I need to do something more intensive I rather do it better and faster on a MB, the ipad pros are nice but they are a replacement for a computer more than anything I think.

I bought one for almost the same reasons and sold it because it never happened. I have a 12.9” M1 iPad Pro and it’s basically just my gaming rig and media station at home. I just ordered an M2 with the same specs. If they ever make a Pro Mini with the same screen and processor as the Pros I’m totally in. But for now the best is only on the 12.9”. It’s already too big so I’m not interested in the new 14”. M3 be damned, you try to hold a tab that big and game with 4 fingers!

I really like the iPad mini 6. I only wish it had 120HZ screen (for gaming) and a brighter screen for watching shows and KZbin when I’m outside and it’s sunny. I don’t know if I find it worth the price (it’s €550 here still) but still would recommend it :)

This video was spot on from a realistic perspective for MOST people. The ipad mini is a fun neat toy but expectations beyond that should be thought over. There's almost no location or process that I would use the mini over my iphone, macbook or ipad 10. I do really want the mini though haha

I have had it since release. Like the performance and form factor but that’s about it. Poor display, battery life has significantly deteriorated over the past year, many apps are not optimized for this form factor, keyboard is too small in portrait mode and too big in horizontal mode, and mine overheats and shuts down in hot, humid weather. I also don’t care for IOS, compared to the flexibility of Android. I do agree that it is good for travel. I wish Samsung would make a quality 8 inch tablet.

Wow, ever heard about the overheating! That's crazy. The biggest issue honestly is exactly what you said about optimized apps. Most iPad apps are optimized for the bigger sizes and the Mini simply isn't good for most of them.
