This seems like a bad idea but when rolling an ankle is not to rest. Put little pressure on it limp around and get it mobile again. I have rolled both my ankles over half a dozen times and now I get up straight away and walk on it.

My heart broke when Crystal first fell, then it was brutal to watch it again and again in slowmo. Glad it's not broken cause an ankle break can be brutal to heal properly. Loved your Q&A because you answered a lot of my questions. I am constantly amazed by how much you guys accomplish when you're basically learning everything from scratch. Crystal, don't rush that ankle, a sprain usually hurts worst and takes longer to heal than a break and if pushed too early will definitely take longer or can lead to having a very weak ankle with can cause other sprains later. Good luck to you both, love your vids. Mike
@Ms.Laterholmes52532 жыл бұрын
Holy Smokes girl please relax glad it’s not broken. I was running down some stairs two weeks ago barely looked the other way and for the last two weeks I’ve had my foot up I an ace bandage thank goodness it didn’t turn black and blue but it’s a pretty yellow color I also put CBD over it and that helped so much because I don’t take any type of Advil or Tylenol it’s actually a high percentage of alcohol with the trimmings from the hemp. OK that’s my doctor‘s remedy for you please hang in there I know the pain you’re going through. You ladies are fabulous and inspirational and the words Dr. Maya Angelou you both phenomenal women🥰🌈🔥

I think explaining why you love someone is the hardest question. I started working with my wife when we were promoting and organising concerts for a brass band (UK) that I played in. At planning meetings we were asked to sit together because we finished each other's sentences. We just gelled together. Twenty two years of marriage later and many projects we still do everything together.

It helps that so when your cutting in half part of your wood does not go flying 😍😍😍❤️🦋🦋🦋nice to meet you both, Kelly🌿OMG..I am just getting to your spraining your ankle! The story of my Garden Center career..I sprained my ankle so many times in 27 years, and fell off the forklift once and crushed my foot, got back up and finished unloading the truck of trees, then went to the walk in medical center...I also hopped on one leg for 2 months because I cannot keep still.. take lots of care, and become more aware of your surroundings was what my lesson was😉

My L5 disc exploded and my perineal nerve died and that was the worst pain I've ever had and still I just tried to walk it off. Now I have zero feeling along that nerve so opposite and uncomfortable. Broken thumb? Eh... maybe one day I'll have it looked at. Smashed face in a bike accident? My eye will go back to normal eventually.

Experience is Queen! I was always my Father's helper on projects around the house. Unbeknownst to me, I learned mant things that's I took for granted. I bought my home when I was 30yrs of age. Soon, after, my friends bought their homes. They were hiring people for things for repairs that I naturally do myself. I can repair everything in my home with the exception of electricity. Mind you, not that I can't do electricity, it's just too important not to hire a professional. Like you said, you, now, have the knowledge and experience to handle anything coming your way with your home. Knowledge is Queen!

Crystal when you said you might get scared going to the outhouse if Bella starting barking at something. That reminds me of being at my grandparents house when I was younger on a big mountain in Tennessee and it was midnight, pitch black out and my cousin was afraid to go to the outhouse alone and she talked me into going with her so I went in with her ( it was a two-seater) we shut the door then felt something bump against the outhouse and we couldn't push the door open, we thought for sure it was a bear. It stayed there a long time and we were so scared. Finally it moved away and we knew it was a distance away so we peaked out the door and it was an old sway back horse that just wondered from place to place and it must've heard us talking and came to visit. HAHAHA, no going to the outhouse at dark for me anymore . 😂🚽

The exact same accident happened to me when I was young, while I was shooting hoops with a buddy. I watched the video and you suffered from an "inversion" sprain. The pain is soooo acute that it FEELS like you have actually broken your foot or ankle. You cannot put ANY weight on it for fear of this excruciating pain. I am sure you are doing all the right things to help heal your ankle even though there is not really much that you can do except stablize the ankle, elevate it and ice it. Ensure you have it wrapped in a Tensor bandage to help stablize the joint, (or tape it - see the link below) and Ice it - on for 20 minutes and off for 20 minutes. A large drug store (like Shoppers Drug Mart) should sell flexable, cloth covered gel ice packs that do not feel cold against your skin...they"re amazing actually. Taping an inversion sprain: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e33WpmVrfNSqZqs Aircast Walking Boot: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2XMf4ibnrZ_eac I truly wish you well...and don't rush it...it will take time. Here's hoping you pick up a sponsor who might provide you with the tools you need to support you in healing your ankle.

Seeing the fall made me say the f-bomb about the same time you did. So glad you weren't working alone as you sometimes do. Glad to see you mending.

I loved the Q & A but I also love how you two are handling 2 cycle engines and battery operated power tools. I am becoming more just from you two motivation.

Holy frinkin’ moly that hurt Crystal!! You ladies are so supportive of one another & Porter is right there ready to help. Try to let that ankle heal up, I know it’s frustrating to be limited. Big hugs to you and belly rubs to the 4 legged kids❤️❤️

I feel like you guys are really knocking out the sustainability aspect of your home but that you are also seeing the No maintenance advantage as well. My first property was a lesson in constant upgrading. The second was a focus on No Maintenance on everything. It has really paid off in off season chores and spring chores. Now I have more time to build on new projects all the time. Also, I would have thought you would have dinged up your left ankle too. It took quite a twist on top of the elevated garden! See you next Sunday!!!!

OMG I just literally did the same thing and fell a very similar way. Sorry to tell you, these types of rolls take 4-6 weeks to recover. The main tip that the physio and hospital gave me was to just rest it as much as I can. Also elevate and Ice for a few weeks as much as possible. Speedy recovery lovely.
