As a licensed cosmetologist I can say that this video was unwatchable.... If you are going to make this kind of video then don't pretend to know how safe something is or isn't. There are genuinely dangerous ingredients in beauty products that are dirty secrets of the industry. There is a reason that hairstylists are as likely to get cancer as a smoker and drag queens develop clown lungs.

Had this with a friend that I ended up cutting off. It was the “monet” brand. She would put up Instagram stories on her close friends (which I was on) saying stuff like “I really know my real friends” “you’re supposed to be my close friends yet you can’t support me, can only rely on my partner fr” it was DRAINING. We were very close. She knew my situation. I have twins, trying to make it through life working 40 hour weeks, supporting and saving for my kids future. I hated MLMS tried to get her not to join it, but she did. I then supported her but not financially, still wasn’t enough. Absolutely sickening that friends would do this to other friends. At that point I should’ve thrown hands with her 🤣🤣🤣 annoying.

@DorianMatt
@DorianMatt Жыл бұрын
@@caileyrookids when you say all of your other products are powder, does this include the product you use for contour? If so, you’re placing a powder product too directly atop one that remains more ‘wet’ until set with a finishing powder, and 9 times out of 10 that will end up patchy. Try switching to a cream or cream-stick contour product! Apply it immediately following your foundation, blend out, apply a loose setting powder once you’re done with cream face products (but *before* any other powder ones), and then proceed as usual. I hope this is useful!

Some of the “natural “ things in make up and skincare that will trash your skin are essential oils! I bought a really nice face wash from a good Korean brand, quite pricey too, and it had every citrus essential oil there is. My face turned bright red immediately and then I had a lovely rash for about 3 weeks! . So “NATURAL “ is not necessarily good.

Citrus oils to the face is bad bad bad. And I'm an essential oil lover. They're way too strong and all citrus causes photosensitivity....lovely way to get a chemical burn. Leave the oils off the face. Some "can" be used (like lavender and tea tree, never citrus) but it has to be sooooo minimal. Unless you make it yourself, you're probably getting too much in commercial products. They don't do proper research and think "oh it'll look good bc it's natural." No. Nope. And no.

They say it's a cream makeup product but the ingredients make it more like a wax than what most people think of as a cream product. It's very similar in ingredients, feel blending and wear to heavy professional theatrical makeup and even the type of makeup that they use in funeral homes. It sits on top of the skin, that's why it doesn't look natural like an lys cream contour or fenty. The second woman didn't even put her "contour" in the correct spots.

You can 100% get the same vibe but a better look using: 1. Stick foundation (I like the one from milk makeup) - creamy pot and stick foundations are a lot more forgiving than liquid foundations with drydown that can make your skin look dry. It’s also easier to blend cream products over top and wears better + easier to touch up. 2. Cream blush (fenty rose latte and RMS modest is very good too) this can also double as a lip colour/tint 3. Cream contour/bronzer. (Milk’s contour stick is very good), you can even use this as an all over wash of colour on the eyelids 4. Literally a lip balm. You can use a clear lip balm for the glassy cheek glow without buying highlighter. 5. Maybe setting powder if you’re very oily Also, for cream products, use your fingers! They melt into your skin when you use a bit of body heat. You don’t even need brushes, just some tissues to wipe off your hands when changing products and then wash your hands at the end. Even for people who have oily skin I highly recommend cream complexion products instead of liquid. Liquids usually dry down and form a film which your natural oils start cracking open over time. Creams tend to emulsify better with your skin oils so there’s no cracking, you can easily powder to mattify without looking dry. Then just add a brow gel/pencil and mascara/eyeliner if you’d like and that’s a small and easy set of makeup that’s easy to replace and easy/fast to use. AND I bet takes up less space and are easier to travel with than those seint palettes

SNEAKY MATH INCOME TRICK: Notice that their income "disclosure" only shows the _AVERAGE_ for each income bracket. This is a common trick used to mislead people and skew the numbers so they look higher. You'll see this a lot in politics and other MLMs. The number that would be more honest would be the _MEDIAN._ Example for anyone a little rusty: Imagine we have 20 people making $10 each, and 1 person making $2,000. The _average_ of their incomes is $200. The _median_ is $10. The avg is skewed higher by that ONE person making way more than everyone else, but the median is a much more accurate representation of what most people are actually making. I would love to know the *actual* number most of these Seint reps make in each bracket, because it's guaranteed a lot lower than is being claimed 👀👀

I have a few friends who used it too, and hyped it up and then never reordered. 🤣 I also know a few people who back and forth on and off Optavia, going on the diet for a "quick fix" and then stopping once the 5-10 lbs fell off. I find Optavia to be very harmful, unhealthy, and gross. Lastly. I have a client who is in Monat. Thats a whooole thing, and I have second hand embarrassment when she posted about it. 🤓 Tomato. Tomato. 🤣 I love this content. And it never gets olddddd. Thanks for all your work-all anti mlm creators!❤

Thank you for bringing this up. Seint is targeting vulnerable people and lining their own pockets. I don't blame the people sucked into this but rather the business itself. It's hard but, do not buy products from them. It sucks because a lot of time it is pushed by people you love.

The huge stripes of bronzer/contour are driving me insane! I give myself plenty of time to put makeup on daily, and if I don’t have time, I am not doing “three minute” makeup. It’s going to look crazy with a two inch stripe of contour on my forehead. If you just sell makeup, it doesn’t make you an artist or even knowledgeable on the application of makeup. Everyone is different, and needs different products, and different application techniques. Blending all of your products on your face at once is not a good technique for anyone. I hate people that claim they know all about something that they don’t.

These are not 5 minute faces! Like. This is too many steps. I use bb cream, some eye shadow and mascara. That's a 5 minute face. Not contouring and blush and blending and nooo. God

To me a 5-minute face is cream concealer, cream blush, eyebrows and maybe lash curler and mascara if I realy hurry up. I would not put a colour base product all over the face for a super quick look and skip blush or bronzer, doesn't that make your face a bit flat?

The one I use isn't full coverage enough to take away all color. It's enough to tone down some of my acne scars and bright red, but not enough to take away all color. I use the Wet n Wild BB cream and I just use a little bit. @@justynawisniewska1213

These gals bash on how expensive most makeup is and say they have no time.. well those pans breakdown to pretty pricey and lashes take more time and money than what’s seint “saves” them 😂. Bought once and the color match was bad and the texture was awful. Used like a dozen times and tossed, there was no redeeming possibility for those creams unfortunately.

man, i really fell into this channel at the exact time i needed it. i joined an mlm a few months ago because a Friend roped me into it ("pls join my downline so i can get a car/sale director trip!!") and im a people pleaser. i essentially 'snuck out' of it via sending EVERYTHING back without telling anyone, Friend included, emailed the company and was like "delete me from ur independent beauty consultant database pls :)" and literally didn't tell anyone. blocked the number to my Friend's supervisor, and haven't spoken to Friend since. i felt guilty for a while but after watching a BUNCH of your videos, ive come to realize that some of these people are just as easily manipulated as i am, or just straight up don't deserve my guilt cause they're greedy/narcissistic/overtly predatory. thank you for informing the greater public in a way that doesn't feel judgmental or shameful.

I get the feeling you are terrified of offending anyone and while that’s understandable you should be confident that you are doing a great job at explaining you are just pointing make up mistakes, you are not insulting the person! I can feel you repeatedly explaining yourself and mitigating each time. There are some people who will criticise you regardless so just go for it and say what you need/want to say 😊

Hi I’m new here! I loved this video, absolutely fascinating. I’m not on TikTok, thank goodness, because I would fall for so much “viral marketing”. And I’ve worked in marketing! I know the tricks! Your point about how hell yes all MLMs are PREDATORY because the vast majority of people involved are not making money. And most likely end up with additional expenses, rather than “gravy”, as that woman said. My only wish is that you had showed the finished look from each of those TikToks. I really wanted to see what the results actually looked like, especially the heavy contour+bronzer.

It’s crazy to me how “good” MLM marketing is getting, I used to be able to call it right away (i.e. Mary Kay, younique, Herbalife) but it took me a MINUTE to realize a lot of these “all in one brands” like seint are MLMs. If it works for you, cool, live your life. But dang. They’re getting SNEAKY sneaky.

Color match through a photo??? Some use Blue Light blocking screens for phones, that changes the colors. Even the way your windows are facing in your home changes the look of the colors. All colors on a screen will usually never be the same as the physical one. Especially not a photo of someone’s face, bc their angle, lighting and where they live will change what color everything is

you know more than you think. Seems the popularity of Drag Race started the contour craze. Makeup is face fashion and is subject to trends. Its funny to me when they talk of these techniques like they are law. What they are putting on their face was called "pancake makeup" in the 1960s. so its not a new concept.

this already wouldn't appeal to me. to leave my looks in the hands of one brand with minimal products? everyone's skin is unique and has different needs based on colour, texture, etc. sure it takes longer, but I think everyone can agree that they want to have a product line up that compliments them to the highest power. very few people will find that one palette does it all for them. a mix of liquids, creams, colours, and powders from different brands is the best approach imo, for most people.

A coworker who is a serial mlm consumer and consultant, is into it and she is trying to tell others about it to encourage them to buy. Her lack of knowledge or understanding of the makeup industry is comical. The amount of product is tiny. The shade range is so so and I think there is only one setting powder. She absolutely has no concept of whether a product is good value. The idea that it is one product for all is laughable.

It should be enough of a red flag that they're marketing this as so "easy" and "simple" for "busy moms". This is so pointlessly convoluted, and the people demoing it are not making it look very good, either. The way these people are putting bronzer right across the middle of their forehead, ugh, I think they mean to put it near the hairline. Shows how much they know.

I appreciate all your videos about Seint. You seem to know a lot about that company. I see them pop up everywhere but the makeup looks so yucky to me- as an oily girl with skin over 40, I can’t imagine putting so much paste on my face. I have a different kind of question though: what I’m baffled about is how many views and followers many of the Seint artists get. Do they help each other out in engagement groups or something? What’s the secret they get such large followings on social media? Do you know?

When using a brush, you SHOULD be painting the makeup across your face for most of the brushes use. The problems come when people apply pressure with it and are dragging their skin, not just dragging the makeup over the skin. Which is the mistake a lot of people make. If your skin is pulling, you’re pressing too hard and need to hold your brush closer to the far end and use a much lighter touch.

Good video and good research 😊 I don’t follow beautytok, didn’t know a new predatory MLM makeup company had surfaced from their slimy bogs. I guess it makes sense, now that Younique and LipSense are pretty much dead. Everyone who is into makeup at this point pretty much knows the whole ‘slap it all on and just blend!’ doesn’t give you nice results. If I want some good makeup I can just head to the drugstore (for most products… I still prefer premium brand eyeshadow palettes and blushes… the rest I pretty much get at CVS) I really wish the government would take a harder stance and outlaw ALL forms of MLM companies. Just more evidence that people need to be protected from themselves.
