This video is GOLDEN!! I’m dealing with a wealthy man now & he took me on a yacht dinner date, one of many with just the two of us… The 1st thing he said was..NO SOCIAL MEDIA PICS.. He doesn’t have any social media. His Mom & Dad are wealthy as well & she’s constantly asking me if I post things online.. I only have FB & haven’t posted in years…She’s so beautiful & kept!! I’m learning so much from her..She told me to NEVER over share..She’s big on being protected from the evil eye & spell casting lol

Same. Some of my cousins think I'm gay because they've never seen me in a relationship, I don't post anything about relationships and I carefully curate what I share on social media. I'm just lowkey. Because of their internalized homophobia, it works out to my advantage because I don't have to be bothered with them and their ghetto silliness. On the flipside, I can overshare with people I'm super close with like immediate family (still working on that) but overall I'm private.

The fact that she let it be known about her prenup, even with how beautiful she is, has probably warded off potential wealthy suitors because, now they know she does not know what discreet means. Also, make direct access to you expensive, I've seen ppl ruin yrs of marriage & trust over a prank.*

Insecurity is the only thing I can think of. I have a few close friends who do this and I realized both women desperately feel the need to be validated by peers, family and complete strangers. They can’t comprehend how I’m able to move in silence and don’t announce my shit until it transpires. There is a male I follow on Facebook that I met years back on vacation and no one knew he had a girlfriend until he posted pics of their wedding right after it happened. Some of his closest friends didn’t even know he had a girlfriend. I told myself that will be me, no one will know I have someone until those wedding pics are posted.

@@FuturePsychNurse I would be hesitant to post wedding pictures as well. A family of mine constantly posted her ex-husband and herself on social media, and they are divorced. Married couples that post too much are trying to overcompensate for something, and people can sense that. People can send you the evil eye (bad luck). If you post on any social media, make sure to have protection in place.

Privacy is power. It is always better to keep personal things PERSONAL, as lurkers see private information being passed around as their chance to dive in and destroy a life. I learned my lesson about oversharing on social media and that people will twist your life story to benefit them if they are jealous or angry. It sounded like she wanted her followers to know that her life is not perfect and that she shouldn't be idolized, but it still was a bad move. I don't even post pictures of any man I'm dating, and probably won't after marriage either, because I believe in the evil eye and that what people don't know they can't ruin. Secrets and privacy are okay, and you shouldn't be ashamed of keeping things to yourself! You will thank yourself later!
@kathyalex778
@kathyalex778 3 жыл бұрын
One thing I’ll add as well is that you can always change your mind and share something you’ve kept quiet for a while if you decide it’s worth it to share. You can’t ever take public information off of social media/out of the public domain, but you lose nothing by keeping things private. When you keep personal info to yourself, it belongs to you alone. When you share it to others, the story belongs to them - which is why many people get over involved in others’ business. They feel entitled the information of the lives of others.

I think it's inherent in all of us. There's a certain "survivors guilt" or a "need to save the whole village" that comes with leveling up or hypergamy. I'm not condoning her loose lips here but I remember when I first starting listening to Chloe in 2019 and started my own journey I felt like I can't know this alone. I wanted to save my friends and family. There I was sending Chloe links and websites to my friends but now 2 years later, I realise that it wasn't about me helping my friends but it was about me being afraid that I might actually lose my friend and the life that I know. I drive a phly car now, moved to a stunning neighborhood, I have a man who provides for me and is crazy about me. Our fear makes us want to save everyone and we can't. Let us put the cape down ladies. The journey to femininity and hypergamy is lonely. ❤️

Your existing is enough. Those who see you living your best life while always being respectful, kind, humble and maintaining strength in character is enough. If they truly love you and want to better their own lives, they may ask for advice. They will come to you. My mom sent me to stay with my aunt during the summer months. I would help her with my cousins, while she would take me places with her. I learned proper etiquette. Now as a southern girl we were always taught to be polite and respectful. My aunt and her friends simply taught me the intricacies of proper social graces. I met highly educated women who had their own businesses or were stay at home moms. Just being in their presence was enough to encourage me to never give up on bettering myself. Those who truly love you and are happy for you will let you know it.

I used to do the same thing when I first started this journey. Sending links and wanting to share all of the knowledge I was obtaining. But the difference between me and them is that I found this all on my own because I was spiritually ready for it. I learned about oversharing the hard way. I was 19, and I shared intimate details of a new guy I was dating with a friend. Those details made its rounds God knows where, and my sister came to me with said details, and I don't even talk to her on that level. I knew I shared that information with one person, and that was all it took for me to keep my business to myself. I am very private and selective with the information I share.

People seem very angry with me all the time that I’m very private . Oh well. I don’t like people in my business and they need to learn how to have conversations that don’t involve gossip . Talk about the news , the arts , a book you read , what you plan to cook, an upcoming event , so many things to discuss but these women want to be in my personal life 🤦🏽‍♀️ that’s when I run for the hills . In my early and mid 20s I would share my bad news and it would be thrown in my face in an argument . And when I had my good news I got the evil eye . I focus on topics that don’t involve my private business . And also social media is trash. I use IG solely for my muse . Interior decor, cooking and such . I don’t post ! I'm neither married or have any sort of significant relationship in my life right now, but everything you've said still applies in my social life. The best thing I've ever done for myself was not only eliminate toxic friends, but also deactiave my Facebook because of all tht you've listed. I still have my Instagram and it's private on purpose. I barely post and when I do, nothing I post is too personal and it's always an image tht happened after the fact. It takes true discipline to keep your mouth shut and to keep your personal life private. I was naive, but after going through public embarrassment, one after the next, you learn privacy is your only way through life.

I also think oversharing is a symptom of low self-control. That post could have made things worse for her. Hopefully not. I don't think there's such a thing as humble bragging. I don't think you can move in stealth if you're oversharing or humble bragging. I'm currently learning how to stop sharing every little detail of my relationship with my friend. It's second nature for some us to talk and sometimes we don't catch ourselves whe we've crossed a line. It's a skill worth developing. Anyway thank you Chloe for yet another amazing video. Looking forward to another one💚 October is mental health awareness month. I strongly agree with what Chloe said about getting a therapist or life coach. I did this when I was younger, because I was made out to be a liar in my family while everyone else were the actual liars. They scapegoated me terribly, invalidated me, and tried to break me and destroy my confidence. I rebelled by airing all of their business. I don’t regret it because it set the tone for them to leave me out of their hypocrisy and stop trying to hurt me without severe consequences. Though classless, it worked. I’ve secured my status as not to be bothered with foolishness….. but I do regret not behaving in a way that would have protected my reputation. First of all a prenup or post nuptials doesn’t mean you won’t get your cut. Especially in states like California, where it’s a no fault state, most of them don’t get recognized in court. Secondly, prenup are supposed to help women as well like who gets the house, the debts, who plays for the lawyers( which is mostly the higher earner) and most importantly the custody of the children. Ladies you are allowed to have demands and compromises in prenup.

Thank you for saying this. I remind women of this all the time! When that man slides that pre-nup over, tell him thank you and that you'll look it over and discuss later. They just want to be in your business and gossip amongst their real friends about u! I'm no longer on fb or IG, but the last few months I was online, a woman , who just got married a few years ago began blasting her husband in posts and memes, unfriending him on socials and basically letting the world know she was unhappily married and was planning to relocate to leave her husband! However not even two months later she turned around re-friended him again and stared to sing his praises. I felt really embarrassed and cringe for her and for her husband. Thank you for this video Chloe❤️I’ve been seeing someone new for a few months & is really good to me & I feel I’ve been over sharing with my family I have a feeling me sharing is going to back fire in the near future. I hope it’s not too late to hush about it now.

I was waiting for your full take on this and naturally you didn't disappoint (and you never do). It's so important to keep the details of your life, romantic or otherwise, under lock and key from the general population. Not everyone is on your team. I'm learning and applying this lesson now and so far it's working out beautifully for me.

Wow this video hit the mark!!! All facts! I cannot reiterate how important it is to keep the inner workings of your marriage SACRED! Great video. I definitely 👀👀 when I saw Jamie and Nikki. That was a prime example of showing "only the good".
