Insecurity is the only thing I can think of. I have a few close friends who do this and I realized both women desperately feel the need to be validated by peers, family and complete strangers. They can’t comprehend how I’m able to move in silence and don’t announce my shit until it transpires. There is a male I follow on Facebook that I met years back on vacation and no one knew he had a girlfriend until he posted pics of their wedding right after it happened. Some of his closest friends didn’t even know he had a girlfriend. I told myself that will be me, no one will know I have someone until those wedding pics are posted.

Privacy is power. It is always better to keep personal things PERSONAL, as lurkers see private information being passed around as their chance to dive in and destroy a life. I learned my lesson about oversharing on social media and that people will twist your life story to benefit them if they are jealous or angry. It sounded like she wanted her followers to know that her life is not perfect and that she shouldn't be idolized, but it still was a bad move. I don't even post pictures of any man I'm dating, and probably won't after marriage either, because I believe in the evil eye and that what people don't know they can't ruin. Secrets and privacy are okay, and you shouldn't be ashamed of keeping things to yourself! You will thank yourself later!
@kathyalex7783 жыл бұрын
One thing I’ll add as well is that you can always change your mind and share something you’ve kept quiet for a while if you decide it’s worth it to share. You can’t ever take public information off of social media/out of the public domain, but you lose nothing by keeping things private. When you keep personal info to yourself, it belongs to you alone. When you share it to others, the story belongs to them - which is why many people get over involved in others’ business. They feel entitled the information of the lives of others.

I think it's inherent in all of us. There's a certain "survivors guilt" or a "need to save the whole village" that comes with leveling up or hypergamy. I'm not condoning her loose lips here but I remember when I first starting listening to Chloe in 2019 and started my own journey I felt like I can't know this alone. I wanted to save my friends and family. There I was sending Chloe links and websites to my friends but now 2 years later, I realise that it wasn't about me helping my friends but it was about me being afraid that I might actually lose my friend and the life that I know. I drive a phly car now, moved to a stunning neighborhood, I have a man who provides for me and is crazy about me. Our fear makes us want to save everyone and we can't. Let us put the cape down ladies. The journey to femininity and hypergamy is lonely. ❤️

Your existing is enough. Those who see you living your best life while always being respectful, kind, humble and maintaining strength in character is enough. If they truly love you and want to better their own lives, they may ask for advice. They will come to you. My mom sent me to stay with my aunt during the summer months. I would help her with my cousins, while she would take me places with her. I learned proper etiquette. Now as a southern girl we were always taught to be polite and respectful. My aunt and her friends simply taught me the intricacies of proper social graces. I met highly educated women who had their own businesses or were stay at home moms. Just being in their presence was enough to encourage me to never give up on bettering myself. Those who truly love you and are happy for you will let you know it.

I used to do the same thing when I first started this journey. Sending links and wanting to share all of the knowledge I was obtaining. I did this when I was younger, because I was made out to be a liar in my family while everyone else were the actual liars. They scapegoated me terribly, invalidated me, and tried to break me and destroy my confidence. I rebelled by airing all of their business. I don’t regret it because it set the tone for them to leave me out of their hypocrisy and stop trying to hurt me without severe consequences. Though classless, it worked. I’ve secured my status as not to be bothered with foolishness….. but I do regret not behaving in a way that would have protected my reputation. It makes me sad that I gave them so much of my power back then but I’m taking it back. Live, learn, improve. 🥰

First of all a prenup or post nuptials doesn’t mean you won’t get your cut. Especially in states like California, where it’s a no fault state, most of them don’t get recognized in court. Secondly, prenup are supposed to help women as well like who gets the house, the debts, who plays for the lawyers( which is mostly the higher earner) and most importantly the custody of the children. Ladies you are allowed to have demands and compromises in prenup.
@enmodelife3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for saying this. I remind women of this all the time! When that man slides that pre-nup over, tell him thank you and that you'll look it over and discuss later. Then enjoy the rest of your evening as planned... The next day go hire YOUR lawyer to begin negotiations. It's a TWO-SIDED match, not one.

I’ve realised the reason why I would overshare at times was to get validation and to share the amazing men I’ve come across. I feel the need to share maybe because I feel sad that I haven’t found the right guy yet, so sharing helps me get that little validation I need. oooo I LOVE this video because privacy is a topic so close to my heart!!! People need to realize that social media followers, friends, and some family dont really care about you. They just want to be in your business and gossip amongst their real friends about u! I'm no longer on fb or IG, but the last few months I was online, a woman , who just got married a few years ago began blasting her husband in posts and memes, unfriending him on socials and basically letting the world know she was unhappily married and was planning to relocate to leave her husband! However not even two months later she turned around re-friended him again and stared to sing his praises. I felt really embarrassed and cringe for her and for her husband. Why did she feel so compelled to tell complete strangers her marital business!! Relationships have highs and lows, why broadcast it to unwitting and uncaring strangers?? This video was sooo on point Chloe!!!
