Hint for English word "over" - it's from Russian "поверх" => (п)овер(х) For example: cross over the bridge - перейти по(верх) мосту(а) In Russian верх means top (side or point) and поверх - means above top or over something.

Excellent material. It's fascinating how in the four Indo-European languages that I've studied (English-native, Spanish, Russian, and German) the prefixes/suffixes and prepositions never map precisely from one language to another. The usage is always idiomatic to the particular language.

Thanks for your job. I can agree with that. It's important to expand your vocabulary in parallel with studying different verb forms (perfective, imperfective, with various prefixes, and so on). This will make it easier and more precise to express yourself in Russian. However, at the initial stage, basic forms, infinitives, and conjugation are sufficient. It's better to delve into the depths of the Russian language with a strong foundation, understanding cases, the concept of prefixes, various meaningful word parts, and so on. Могу согласиться. Словарный запас нужно увеличивать параллельно изучению различных форм глаголов (совершенной, несовершенной, с разными приставками, и так далее). Это позволит проще и точнее изъясняться на русском. Однако на начальном этапе достаточно базовых форм, инфинитивов, спряжения. В глубины русского языка лучше погружаться, имея крепкую базу. Понимая падежи, концепцию приставок, различные значимые части слова пр.

How "strong" is the meaning of разлюбиться? Would it be "I stopped loving it and only like it now" or "I don't care about it anymore at all"?

@user-is9ix3pt2v 9 ай бұрын
Hello! It means "I lost interest in someone or something" or "I don't enjoy it anymore"
@bshthrasher
@bshthrasher 7 ай бұрын
It's a hard question, but I will try to answer. In fact we never use this word, but if we were, here's what it would mean. Разлюбить means to stop loving something, but if you add -ся it's a short for себя that is "yourself". So the full combination would mean that you made yourself to stop loving something. But as I said before there's no such word. Think about it, влюбиться means that you made yourself to love something, you want yourself to love it but it doesn't mean you actually love it. So when we speak about the real love we prefer to use полюбить, which also means to start loving but from a little different perspective. Я влюбился в эту актрису. - I fell in love with this actress. Я полюбил лето. - I began loving summer.

Please, make a video about difference between "Правда" [prawda] and "Истина" [Istina]
@comrade137
@comrade137 8 ай бұрын
It's more philosophical question. Here what I found and translated from Russian: 1. Truth (истина) is the correspondence of the received knowledge to reality. It is objective and "is an indisputable absolute, in contrast to the truth." 2. Truth (правда) is "concrete knowledge about any fact that took place in reality."
@YaShoom
@YaShoom 8 ай бұрын

The difference is pretty simple. Pravda is the truth from one perspective, and Istina is the totality of all the points of view the ultimate truth, the reality. Here's an example. The table has a cylinder on it, one person sees it from the top and says - This is a circle! - and that's Pravda because it's true. The other person sees it from the side and says - This is a parallelepiped! - and that's also Pravda because it's true. But the Istina is, it is actually a cylinder.
@YaShoom
@YaShoom 7 ай бұрын
@@bshthrasher я с вами не соглашусь =) Истина - это не совокупность всех правд суммарно, а это то, что есть в реальности, а вот совокупность правд может приближаться к ней, но может и отдаляться.
