I am not a doctor but I heard that it is very good to take vitamin D3, Omega 3, vitamin C, Turkey Tail mushroom. Practice Chi kung, Qi Gong, SUN GAZING, listen to happy music, take long walks under the sun, and stay most of the time connected to nature. Your doctor is inside of you. You need to help yourself and don't believe everything that your doctor said...

I tried to leave God and my family's church to go do my own thing, only to fail miserably. Anyone who's crawled back to God out of desperation knows that we're literally bound to destiny. It really does feel like the universe conspires to lead you towards your calling.

Thanks, Rabbi, your talks are having the effect of keeping me vaguely focussed on the steering of what feels like a go cart on ice. I'm writing a musical that will be big, it's scary that it will be big, it's also daunting in and of itself, the responsibility, not wanting to do a less than perfect job etc. Things that can lead to putting off ever finishing it. At the same time, I'm watching friends and family approach and meet death, and wonder how long I truly have. And more to the point, how much energy I have left. Writing a musical is like writing a symphony. It's too big to hold and turn in your hands. Instead it is like throwing a vast spinning pot from the inside. Me, the composer is merely a tiny occupant of this huge structure, and the bigger it gets, the smaller I get, but the bigger I feel. I don't know what I believe. I intentionally took the Jewish spelling of my name, as a way of reminding myself that I don't know who God is, and that there are many who have said that they do, and I'm not too proud to allow that others before me may have understood more than I have. I'm haunted by the idea of hiding one's light under a bushel, and feel a sense of responsibility to create. I'm not sure who I feel I owe it to. But it doesn't matter. It's that I feel it that matters, and that I hope to finish it in time for the next generation to be inspired. I have no children of my own, so in a way, all children are my children.

I don’t know quite how to say this but I’ve come to the conclusion that my mission is to get through this without ending it myself. And really that, as well as the fear he’d just send me straight back to try again, is all that’s holding me back just now. 🙏

You aren't alone in your suffering, so many of us are here with you in this seemingly unending, torturous mental/emotional space. I also have the strange sensation that I've ended my own suffering before in some past life and so I also am just trying not to restart that cycle again. You/we can do it. Just give it a little more time. Take some breaths. Stay in the present. 🙏🏼

@@jicajacobsonkimbreaux I think I may have too. There’s a violent image relating to this that I’ve had since very young. Also since a child I’ve always had this unformed, underlying feeling of - let’s just grit our teeth and get this over with. Thank you for your words 🙏

I dream a lot - dreams that teach and heal - and here's a little motivation which might help. I dreamed of being in a situation, an old bus crammed with people, when it went off a bridge. And as I realized how unlikely it was I could get out, I figured, "Well, I may as well get this over with", and as we sunk, drowned. Then I opened my eyes, still in the dream, and I was alive, in another life, in a slightly lower, darker, harder world and knew that it was punishment for not trying. I knew the details this life, my less interesting job, things like that, and I woke up yelling, "Don't I even get a coffee break?!" Think about that before you decide to bail.

I don't know my destiny, but I follow my heart. I listened to spiritual teachers, but I follow my intuition first. I feel deep in my heart that we need NEW STORIES for humanity. We don't need to listen anymore that we are sinners and that we deserve punishment. Humanity has endured so much pain and suffering! What humanity need is more encouragement and INSPIRATION! We are all learning along the road on our way back to God! Thank you!

Thank you Rabbi, your timing was good on this one. Your clip popped up earlier and I avoided it. I prayed for guidance earlier and then by the grace of God I was directed to Jonah, it was indeed pertinent, then I listened to your clip and it reassured me about the path that I must take. May God bless and protect you and your loved ones.

Thank you so much. This is the exact reason I have been stagnating for almost 4 years: instead of facing a problem, I tried to put it off, to escape it, to ignore it. 12:13 really open my eyes: indeed some addictions approached my life and I tried to defeat them, but only now I realized (thanks to you and the wisdom of the Bible story), that those addictions/distractions are not to be fought, but to be considered as a sign: "Get back on your calling path, deal with things you try to ignore/escape". And once you get back on your "calling path", all those signs in terms of distractions/addictions will withdraw as there will be no need for them. Once again, thank you and bless you!

I have to say that I am overwhelmed by the direct relevance of this. Uncanny. Everyone who sees this sees a different aspect of meaning, and what we bring to this story is an indication of our calling and importance. We are part of the meaning circulating in the world. I often say that the most painful thing is when I look around and see the “me shaped hole” in the world. That’s what you are and what you do. ❤ Sometimes it seems a staggering burden, but Jonah was lost in a raging sea, which is always what I imagine was the creator before the stable creation as a subset of pure infinity. It’s my empathy for god. God easily solves these problems. Don’t make excuses. Think outside the box, outside the boat, outside the whales, and the raging sea. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤

Dear sir, I remember when I went to work at sea. I'd absolutely no idea why or what I was thinking. I was absolutely terafied of what I was doing every minute on or of land. My crew kind of were always concerned as well. At first I was throw around like a leaf in the wind. After about six weeks I found i could develop a rhythm in harmony with the waves and managed to stay on my feet. One day everything went crazy, the sea was unbelievable, passengers were in a state. Then a funny thing happened to me. Suddenly I remember myself becoming extremely calm and feeling fine. Right in the middle of this I walked around the boat chatting to passengers and making them OK and laughing. I seemed to work in reverse by worrying about everything on land and safe. When ever I get today times its tough I always try to remember telling myself well at least I'm not out in that storm.

Ive been insecure my entire life and didnt know how to find a sense of security. I wanted my own sense of security and I thought Id find that through love but I couldnt find it. Then I thought Id find it through intellectualism but I couldnt possess it. Then I thought id find it through isolation but I just got lost in my own head. I was afraid of what my insecurity was doing to other people and at the same time seeking it. I'm not afraid to face myself or accept responsibility for anything and everything I've done, I just wanted to fix it so that the problem was solved and not repeated forever and I lost hope

I have learned that whatever our mission/calling is, it's where our passion lies. It also comes with its challenges, yet, the deep passion makes us determined to overcome those challenges. Isn't HaShem great that HE orchestrated it that way? When we find our passion, we find our purpose.....the sole purpose of our soul! The title of my book 😊

🎹 Thank you Rabbi. Your inspiring message spoke directly to my Soul, to my heart and to my mind. Your words were exactly the words I needed to hear at this precise moment in my life. And I hope that one day soon I will get to thank you in person for giving me the stregnth of purpose to complete my artistic goals to fullfillment. You are a modern day Messiah. 🎹
