I use that M'Chla on more of my up & coming Roms than my KDFs. I just think the look fits better & with the M'Chla no singularity lesser power. Also, I enjoy that Mat'Ha for my KDFs leveling for the "innate" disruptor boost. At least when I'm sticking to canonical themes. I'm so glad Cryptic finally bent the knee & began running the four recruitment events once a year, kudos to them. Cryptic relies too much on fear-of-missing-out (FOMO) for later coercion selling.

I think the Temporal Recruit is best (due to the rewards for getting 10 reputations to Tier 5) but KDF Recruit is 2nd best IMHO.

I created a Temporal Recruit character years ago, during the first Temporal Recruitment event, but I never finished leveling it. If I finish leveling it, can I unlock all the perks that were available originally?

I don't need this but I urge anyone that doesn't have Withering Barrage to snatch it up. Doing all of the activities unlocks some pretty nice stuff for F2P account, including a pretty nice starship trait that rewards "cloak and strike" types of tactics. Might not be meta, but for an account that's building up, not a bad trait. If you haven't rolled a KDF toon yet, once they hit level 65, they unlock cross-faction flying for free. The only potential downside is that you will have another character that you have to commit a significant amount of time to. That may not be a bad thing if you like alts.

Oh cool I heard about these when researching the game. I was waiting for one before making an alt, so this is perfect. Thanks for explaining the details. Glad to hear once you start it there's no real time pressure. Now I just have to figure out what sort of captain I want. Klingon scientists always seemed like a contradiction so maybe one of those. I'm actually glad to hear I can't roll a Romulan because I already have a Romulan (alien) and part of me would be tempted to metagame and roll another one regardless so this forces me not to lol. Seeing it for the first time, I actually like the look of that ship, one of the better looking Klingon ships.

While it's true that you can finish the "tasks" at your leisure it's worth using the character as much as possible during the event because it gives extra dilithium ore for almost anything you do. By the end of the event month you can have a nice little pile of ore so you don't have to worry about grinding dilithium for a while on that character.

I know this is off-topic but if someone could sit there and allow the company to fix taken Buy surprise when you first completed it you would get anti bored rifle They somehow removed it when they fix certain things And it was one of the rewards you get when you first completed Somehow it's been removed Under episodes king and queens It was a real nice rifle anti Borg I would like to see it back in the game

You won't get an extra character slot as you technically already have it, even as a new player that starts tomorrow, as it's added for everyone when a recruitment is first added. There's no additional slot added for each re-run.

I believe 1 of the recruit variant you would benefit from getting a tact, eng and sci recruit. What about this one? Does it matter what career I pick? I believe this is the only recruit I havent done yet

I would love to see a new Recruit event at some point, as unlikely as it would be. Personally I'd lke to see a Section 31 or Mirror Universe Recruit Event to change things up a bit in a similar fashion to what we've enjoyed already over the years.

I have a Romulan Delta recruit from a year or two ago that I'm about to finish the recruit quests. I'm about 10,000 admiralty exp from the only goal given by the Delta receiver I haven't finished. I'm curious what I'll get besides Voyager when I'm done. Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow or Friday. Edit" Turns out I was closer to reaching Romulan Admiralty rank 10 then I thought. As soon as I logged in I went to check my completed Admiralty missions and they brought him up to rank 10 thus completing the final Delta recruit transceiver mission. I'll probably wipe my level 17 Klingon character and just start a new one around the 20th and get him the ship for my other characters to use in admiralty then put him on hold until they either come out with a KDF exclusive Frigate or a non-reclassified all faction Frigate that I feel makes sense being used by a Klingon based on the story (A Fer'Jai would be perfect. A Shuk-din would have worked as well since either faction are common enemies of the Klingons so one of their ships being takens as a prize and commissioned in the Klingon Fleet makes sense to me. Unfortunately the Shuk-din fell victim to the evil known as reclassifcation when a player version was introduced as did many of the game's Frigates or Frigates from other Star Trek Media added to the game.)

Wonder if that ship is a reskin of the Kor/B'rel.. Nice deal for sure.. Still haven't plucked that one off the z-store but need withering for sure.. Wish they would give that classic bird of prey some love eg.. Hit points and a 5/2 layout. For daily driving, let's face it... Not survivable even in some normal TFO's. Such a shame given the price is equal to all newer OP T6 rides.

To me that refitted M'Chala always looks like something the Principality of Zeon would be using to transport Zakus and fight the Gundam but it isn't a bad ship. The console from it is also not bad for free gear, gives a good boost to various systems. Since I already have a recruit from this event's previous iteration I'll be waiting for the next Delta and Gamma events to create a Fed aligned Romulan and a KDF aligned Jem Hadar to complete the set.

I am just glad the refit looks half decent as opposed to the original STD abomination and like others have said rather than a KDF ship it fits much better a new Romulan Republic "cheap" design. For a free ship is one of the more useful ones out there.

@@gusty9053 Yah, the original looks like a it was rejected by Stargate's initial villains for being too focused on decoration and psychological terror at the expense of effectiveness. I don't find the refit to look too Republic myself, they seem to be focusing on quality over quantity and the cannons are far too obvious for Romulan design anyway. It does look like what the Picard series might have equipped them with though.

@@matthewkeeling886 In my head :) the Romulan Republic is a minor faction at this point. Even with the backing of the major powers and a focus on superior designs any fleet would require a small cheap vessel that can be built in large numbers (for patrol if nothing else) and the RR doesn't exactly scream "economic power house" to me. And i agree, if the canons were masked and the wings would flair outwards a bit more (per classic Romulan esthetic) it would fit a bit better. On the other hand the ship as it is now screams "klingon" even less than "romulan" :). Maybe because i use the romulan set on it skews my opinion a bit.

@@gusty9053The Romulan Set fits well on anything... I was firing it off an Odyssey just yesterday. The Heavy Cannons firing from the wings instead of the giant obvious cannons for some reason might have also skewed the way it feels. Also, the Malem serves that role quite well for the Republic so they don't need another ship doing the role and using up limited manufacturing resources. The Klingons having multiple designs serving the patrol/attack ship role feels better to me due to the Houses having their own fleets and thus their own preferences/capabilities/needs working alongside the KDF's.

I'm glad I first did the kdf event last year when I started playing again..... :) I wonder if they are going to change any of the objectives? Or, do they usually keep them all the same each year? Apologize if this comment is a bit much, I started playing the game as of two years ago and wasn't around when KDF event was first out.

Since it carries over (as in the "tasks" can be completed afterwards) i don't think it changes anything from year to year. I still have some unfinished ones even though i made that KDF character a year (or maybe it was two years) ago. And i never heard any talk of resetting progress. At most someone mentioned that years ago they added more stuff to do until 100 % one of the event recruits.

Is it any kdf character created during the event or do you have to be a Klingon specifically, If the latter then do the Discovery Klingons count?

Its specifically KDF faction proper, so no romulan or jem'hadar as those are only 'aligned' to KDF. Yes Disco Klingons count, as do Gorn and all the other pure KDF faction species. Personally I'm gonna go Cardassian or Alien this time, last time I did a Disco Klingon just for the immersion.

When the event starts they will be labled as Recruits in the character creation menue.

Once you get a recruit can you level another KDF char to 65 for cross opening or does it have to be the recruit char? I have a KDF that is higher.

For cross ship unlock you can do it with any KDF, does not need to be a recuite.

The first time a recruit event is run they give you an extra character slot not each time the event is run. The Temporal Recruit give the best benefit of a Experiment Upgrade for each Temporal Recruit. The refitted M'Chala is one of the worse T6 ships in the game has 4 universal BO seats with no specialization seating, but it is free. To unlock all the account reclaimable benefits for a Delta Recruit you need to make a Fed, Rom and KDF.

'Best benefit'? 'Each temporal recruit'? I love it when people just set themselves as a standard.. So what you say might be true for a tryhard powergamer with lots of characters and maybe multiple accounts. But for the average joe who most likely creates one recruit each, I'd say a meta trait is far more valuable than one experimental upgrade that you'd also get from the next red alert.

@@tarron3237 I love it when people are insulting, condescending and rude about other people's opinions and say things they would never say face to face with a person. The Temporal Recruit is the only event that gives additional account wide benifits over and over again for each recruit made, where all other recruit events once you have completed them, if you make a new recruit gives no benefit to the account. Please don't strawman my arguements cause i never said the other recruit events didn't give any good benifits. The repeatable reward of the Temporal Recruit makes it the best, now it take 3 experimental token to got from T6 to T6-2X and if you are FTP you might be beneficial to know that you can do the Temporal Recruit multiple times and get multiple Experimental upgrades. A try hard powergame wouldn't bother putting in the work to level a character up to 65 and then level up the reputations to Tier 6 which takes 2 months straight minimum, for the reward of 1 experimental token, but a FTP account might do that.

So I started with a KDF and got to the lvl T6 ships... but I also started a Fed and got the free cruiser at lvl 10 also.... Am i missing something? Is the free KDF ship in a different spot then the regular ships of the line?

@@MCStu Not looking for it on other chars.. totally new player.. lvl 15 is my max on the fed (ignore fed).. I'm missing how to claim on the kdf char that I started first for this free ship.. I got to lvl 10 and it gave me the choice of 3 ships.. but I got the same 'choice' when I rolled a fed.. so where is the KDF free ship thats different then a normal kdf rolled char getting a ship at lvl 10?

Becareful. Since the crappy latest patch, Muwhi has started to spawn inside bulkheads more so than she did before. I tried 10 times in a row today on a new recruit and didn't get her once. About sick of the "features" of this game.

If you don't alread have KDF "RECRUIT" then yes it is worth it. That is the only way to get these unlock is to have a "Recruit" not just a regular KDF character

​@@FCVPI99 You're welcome. BTW this is not a great T6 ship, but it's one of the prettier skins for Klingon ships, designed by EC Henry of KZbin fame. It's pretty flimsy, so you need to build it for survivability or you'll be dying a lot. But the universal console and trait are worth it alone. Make sure to build it for cannon scatter volley from the start, then use the trait as soon as you get it unlocked.

Nah, because you can just increase your accuracy stat to completely offset the penalty, basically. Plus more tarets getting more damage is always really good.

Since it's a recruitment event, you'll need a KDF Recruit - KDF character that's been made during the event and gone through the tutorial to get it defined as KDF Recruit. Characters from before/outside of the event won't count.

By making a Recruit and getting it unlocked on them first. To get it for another KDF character you go to the Throne Room in First City and go to the temporal officer to the right when you walk in next to the stairs.

Once you unlock the ship on the recurit you can then reclaim it on your other KDF character.

I’ve found Cannon Scatter Volley 100% SUCKS! It misses a lot even with this trait! It hardly ever hit multiple enemies in battle. I’ve found Fire At Will with its Multi-Targeting far better and I even use that on this ship. The same goes with every other starship I have Cannons on; they all get Fire At Will over Cannon Scatter Volley even with this trait! From years of experience with Cannon Scatter Volley and observing what I’m stating here it has become highly clear that Cannon Scatter Volley and Withering Barrage 100% SUCKS! I highly don’t recommend it. I highly recommend Fire At Will instead! Plus making multiple Recruits (Delta, Gamma, Temporal and Klingon) really sucks for Cryptic loves not changing up the Objectives needed! When you check they’re mostly the same in fact for a Klingon Recruit other than the rewards the objectives were mostly a wash and repeat of the Gamma Recruit so much so that you have to do the Swarm TFO again! They really should make a Klingon Reputation and have working on that purely for Klingon Recruits! They have one for the Romulans (Aiding the Romulan Republic) and one for the Dominion (the Gamma Reputation). They should make such reputations for the Klingons and the Federation and link their objects to a Federation (Starfleet) Recruits and for this one (Klingon Recruits).
