Most beekeepers around the world would have killed the hornet queen so it couldn't make a new nest and threaten "their" bees. Hell, in Canada the Coast Guard used to shoot birds of prey with machine guns to "protect" the fish stocks . . . so people could eat them.
@illestvillain1971 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's kinda messed up... Especially with the amount of fish we kill wastefully by catching and it's not like a bird of prey is gonna take too many, hell the bald eagle is the symbol of America lol. Predators kill predators and we're predators. We use bees for product and strip freedom so in a way we're no better. But then again Asian Giant Hornets in other parts of the world are invasive, and an argument can be made that these control the population of eusocial insects, that being said bee numbers aren't great and they are vital to our survival and a function ecosystem for pollination. If anything it's miles apart from any moral argument of them deserving to exist, we DON'T live in a natural world anymore we have so much control. And as long as we have water, air and sunlight we'll remain on top. So controlling something that actively destroys what keeps us alive is fair enough.

@angrymaniac53 Жыл бұрын
Because hornet don't really priotize honeybee over other insect. Hornet literally goes after any insect and it's very essential considering that it is a great pest control. WILD BEES and other pollinating insects are in danger from these creatures as well.
@078OG Жыл бұрын
@@angrymaniac53hornets are not that fast. The normal shitfly is way faster. So are a lot other insects. So Hornets prefer slower insects and roadkill. Bees are a special treat wich they hunt like the hunt other hornets and wasps. Because these insects live in a hive wich is like a treaure for them with all the larve. And were bees are humble and almost defensless compared with hornets they are a easy snack. With as a bonus compared to other wasps and hornets there is also honey!

It noted it in the video they are an apex insect predator. They hunt wild western bees and keep other pests under control
@nz323010 ай бұрын
