I am a law student, now starting the last year of law school and I am trying to find the best career path for me (law field, big law or boutique firms etc). This was really helpful, thank you.

Happiness is a state of mind and there is no ideal job for most people. People can be unhappy even when they have everything in life. People who are mentally mature are usually happy people. They are responsible, they know that they need to work to support themselves and their families to live comfortably. So they take their job seriously, change jobs or get better at their jobs if they have to, live within their means and live full and meaningful lives. Jealousy and greed make people miserable. I stay away from such people because they make everybody's lives miserable.

Yeah, your interests can lead to a job you hate as much as not, job mistreatment is everywhere, as is discrimination, and then there are physical limitations

Thanks, Erika for sharing this conversation with Ken. Where you spoke about educating financial literacy while addressing the injustices of humans not understanding personal finance. I feel the same way, as I have seen it so much in my current career in HR (educated in Law and HR). I am actually considering transitioning into personal finance/wealth management. Reason: misleading information/advice in the financial industry is so prevalent. I would like to understand finance and spread the truth. My family community and fellow colleagues including myself have felt the shame and disappointment in not knowing. As someone who loves knowledge, I'm taking the plunge, Erika. I am leaving HR. Thanks for your channel, you have supported my reasoning as I will not be happy if I'm not solving a people problem.

1) Talent 2) Results 3) Mission 1) Who are the people you wanna help? 2) What's the underlying problem? 3) What's the solution that you would be excited about?

Thanks Erika, I'm on a job search right now to become an interpreter, leaving a job in a completely different field that I was forced to do growing up. Your advice is clear and motivating. This was aptly timed and very helpful for me to hear 🎉

Thank you, Erika, as always!! I loved the video you posted about the Psychology of Money with its author. It inspired me to consider starting investing. I will be starting this month if God wills. Are you in the right career?/Which career should I choose? 1) Am I good at it and can I get better? 2) Do I enjoy my work? 3) Do I care about the results of my job?

What advice is there for someone who wants to change careers at the age of 60 but can’t seem to get hired into any other field but the one you want to leave? I’m not like your example person making $350,000 per year either. Any advice moving forward would be helpful, thank you.

Good question. He recommends obvious things like reducing debt, stacking cash, fixing your mindset, following personal interests. But in the end it appears that we have to figure it out on our own.

the most important factor is do what the world wants done. mayne its generate more food or housing. these jobs dont have be miserable any job can be fun. but doing jobs low impact or dont have effect on the world these are generally bad. always think about impact ur making on the world when doing work. is this job big impact? if so its a good job. when i first started trucking 10 years ago it was a better job than today. gps got better they turned manual transmissions into automatic. the barrier of entry is much lower now it feels more like uber where its hard to make a living unless one of the lucky jobs very few. so like things like demand and barrier of entry matter.
