DON’T TAKE YOUR CDL FOR GRANTED!

In today’s video, I’ll be discussing the value of a CDL and the importance of keeping your driving record in good standing. Being careless on the road while driving your personal vehicle or CMV can have some serious consequences and put you in jeopardy of losing your CDL. This video is just a reminder of how valuable the asset is that you carry in your wallet. 💳

"You have to understand the value that's in your wallet". FACTS!! 💯 I had to double back and go back to the job I said I would never do again. Even if your CDL isn't your long term goal, respect it as a foundation you can always build from or fall back on, if need be.

I was just telling a coworker how much I value my CDL. True story, in NC if you’re the registered owner to a vehicle and an accident occurs with that vehicle, you as the owner can be held liable for it if the vehicle isn’t insured. I gifted my father a car a few years back and he got into an accident and didn’t have insurance on the car. Long story short, when I went to pull my driving record to start CDL school, my class c license was suspended and thank heavens to God the adjudicator worked with me and reinstated them. I almost wasn’t even able to get the CDL because of that so everything you said here was spot on bro…protect those L’s

Yeah, you lucked out bro. It’s basically the same in FL. In FL, the person on the vehicles title is primarily responsible, as insurance follows the owner, not the driver.

Your channel deserves so much more attention because most of this trucking channel are so negative. Be grateful you have a job that pays good money nothing is easy in life some people wish they have a job that pays 20k a year and most truckers complain about making 60k a year. Anyway just wanted to say thank you your channel is always positive and some of us really need that especially with all the negative things going on in the world today.

Your license in general is extremely important. A regular license says a lot about how you act/operate & jobs will in fact turn you away. CDL’s are extremely important. At some point people gotta grow up and mature, don’t do foolish mess, period.

If you leave the trucking industry you also may not be able to jump back into trucking again. Experience expires with time. Most companies worth working for requires 1 year experience within the last 3 years. If you take 4 years off, you might as well let your CDL go stale & redo the entire process.

Is the self driving trucks real? If so how does it affect the drivers. I’ve been seeing the videos a lot lately.
@imanthonytv
@imanthonytv 2 ай бұрын
Yes, autonomous trucks are real. At the moment, I don’t see a huge presence for those trucks out in the field. Of course, I think it will have an impact on the trucking industry long term. I believe drivers doing certain jobs will eventually be replaced by autonomous trucks. Those are my thoughts but we’ll have to see.

I got mine in April in the DFW, TX area. Got turned down by McLane & Labatt, both food services. I'm a college graduate (I'm 37) trying to enter trucking (its a major industry in DFW) and i'm down to applying to Amazon Freight Partners for my last effort at trying to drive tractor-trailer to stay local. I don't want to do garbage trucks since that's not tractor-trailer, if this doesn't work out, i'll have to check out OTR/Regional unfortunately but gotta get started somehow.

Yes..But for how long? I’m not sure. Sounds like they’re most likely going to offer you the job if you made it to road testing. You won’t really know for sure if you can handle it unless you give it a try. With your driving experience, if Sysco doesn’t work out you should be able to find another opportunity relatively quickly. Good luck brother.

@spinninggood Your height isn’t an issue. The physicality of the job is the only thing I would be concerned about if I were you. You can reach out to my guy Luison Fit. He drives for Sysco and can give you more insight on the company. I don’t think KZbin allows channel links anymore in the comment section but I’ll drop the link to his channel. Just search his name if you’re unable to hit the link. Drop a comment under one of his videos and I’m sure he’ll respond. He’s pretty active in the comments. youtube.com/@luisonfit5897?si=Wptd5F1ayVzUHGcU
