Just completed my very 1st set of acrylics using forms, on myself! Wish I'd had this video yesterday, I bent my brush tip. BUT, it made things go a little bit easier when I did my right hand. The whole process only took 2 hours. Thank you so much for _all_ of your helpful tips & tricks over the years. Next, I work on speed & getting a better nail filing tool. 😂😂

You both would have a whole new audience crossover conversations.

i don’t really know anything about nail brushes, but as a traditional artist, there’s also something called brush shaper that can be used to fix bristles into their proper shape after they’ve been ruined. i’m not sure how expensive nail acrylic brushes are, but if you do end up messing up the brush by leaving it in acetone against the bottom, then using some brush shaper might help you not waste an otherwise perfectly good brush!

Another tip when using acetone to clean brushes (for nails or paint) is to avoid letting the portion where it meets the metal come in contact with the acetone. The reason? You can dissolve the glue that holds the bristles to the brush, so when you go to remove it from the acetone, your bristles will all fall out. ONLY SUBMERGE THE BRISTLES!

I was always taught to be careful because some brushes are more carelessly made than others, and the acetone could dissolve the adhesive holding the hairs in the brush if you smoosh it all the way up to the metal. Of course if you are careful and don't pull on the hair too much while it is damp then you're probably fine! Great tip

Fellow students, listen up our amazing teacher is giving out great advice here. Let's never take Suzie for granted. She's a precious gem 💎 Great advice as always. My wooden kolinsky brushes, will appreciate this, so will my wallet. Unfortunately, they only taught us gels in college. They'd stopped acrylics when I joined a good few years back, but didn't say. £1,200 I spent and I'm learning far more from wonderful experts, such as this legend here. I hope you do your 3 day course again next year, I'd definitely save up and sign up for it online! I'd be so happy to have Suzie as my teacher.
