I doubt we'll ever see the end of citizenship-based taxation in the U.S. There simply isn't enough (or any) political pressure to change that. It would make it too easy for people to pay zero tax without renouncing or creating complex structures. As an American, I concur. The District of Columbia voted for JB in 2020 at a ratio of 17:1. That town cannot be redeemed. Trump is merely a reprieve. Part of me wishes that since the dollar is in hospice, if the crash came in the next couple years, we might be better off. At least Trump can broker deals

Not an issue for most people, but tariffs are the chaos that will be created by RFK Junior and Elon Musk will be devastating to the country along with the dismantling a various government agencies like health. Is it going to affect billionaires yes maybe not in the same way it’s going to affect people that are middle-class soon to be poor . It will crash the dollar eventually and then a new currency will have to take place and it won’t be in the US dollar.

Small 'L' libertarians are not supporters of Trump. Or Harris. Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Lesser of evils? I just want to be left alone, living overseas as a Canadian. Trudeau scares me more than any American President, especially as his policies affect me directly. I don't like pushy American interventionist policies and its cultural arrogance. I am happy to see Trump elected but I question his populism.

I already know what to do- move. I saw this coming and transferred one of my teaching credentials to British Columbia, Canada. I have done a ton of research on Panama and Belize. My pension will help me greatly when I move.

It is now the oldest country in the world. The average age of a country in the world today is only 17 years before they have another coup or revolution
