Wow... this actually got me emotional, you guys deserve everything you get honestly your work ethic is through the roof. Don’t stop what you’re doing because you are benefiting for yourselves, but also inspiring thousands of others. One of those is myself. I’ve got my own channel that was inspired by youse and recently I’ve felt like giving up with it as it feels like it isn’t going anywhere, but after watching this I realise youse had these moments but you pulled through and believed in the vision. Now I believe in my vision and I’m not gonna stop until I reach my goals. I have watched this club ( At work ) and at home from the very beginning. From when they weren’t having enough men to put on the pitch, to the time they saw Big G playing for another team ( through the bushes ). Needed this podcast, listening to your guys difficult come ups is really inspiring and even further more so that you have not yet reached the destination you are headed at, barely getting paid, but still working hard and hustling at it everyday is so motivational. Especially Andy Ansah's story on the deal that went bad and how he found an alternative, said he's going all into it and working at it is a mentality I am working on developing at the moment. Initially used to come to the channel for the scraps (and glimpses of magic from The Myth...) and stayed to see the ongoing development. I remember when the ambition was that the players didn't have to pay subs. Amazing to see how far you've taken SE Dons and this feels like it's just starting. Keep up the amazing work, you've got a great core team with outstanding values. The comment about knowing your worth (in life...) is an invaluable piece of advice and a message you are great at getting across to your young/less privileged viewers. Don't know if it's how other people will see the Dons legacy in a few years but for me, watching the Dons made me more committed to playing for a football team. I remember when I discovered the Dons for the first time and I was not playing football at the time, didn't think I needed football in my life. However I watched these lads who were so focused on winning, playing for the badge, passionate and seeing success on the pitch, it made want to play again. For me, it changed my mentality on Sunday League football, now I wanted to be in the gym getting fitter and stronger, I wanted to be a vocal player on the pitch and I wanted to perform as well as I can at every opportunity. Now I love playing football and a big contributor to that is seeing the energy that SE Dons brought to grassroots and now taking that into my own games. Could write so much more on my appreciation for the Dons, but just wanted to give my own personalised thanks for all the content you have provided us. I've loved seeing the rise of the Dons over the past few years and I hope you all achieve your personal goals and sustainable success as a club.
