The Stone-age coach brainwashed The people of Canada to hate other countries! You Have Been brainwashed by 'Wanger' Don Cherry!! Now this video They are attacking against Auston Matthews!! The Real Trash net missers shooters are Connor McDavid 14,1% shooting missing net 85% of The time! Ovechkin 15% shooting in 2022! Auston Matthews 17,2% shooting in 2022 not missing The net like Connor McDavid! When Wayne Gretzky scored 92 goals in 1982 The NHL 8,01 goals per game! Now in 2022 about 6,2! Auston Matthews 60 goals in low scoring ERA 2022! Auston Matthews 73 games 60 goals! If Auston Matthews Have played in 1982 he would had scored 84,81 goals! The hard Science study Proof data results Shows That!! So we get=80/73x8,01/6,2=84,81!!! Only Gretzky Bobby Hull Mario Lemieux Have scored More 92 86 85! It's so true that Bossy's name is rarely mentioned in talks of who the all-time best goal scorers are when he was 1 of the best. I'm a Habs fan and I never liked the Islanders but I always liked and respected Bossy. Marcel Dionne is another big goal scorer who is often not mentioned (he actually had better career numbers than Guy Lafleur). Pat Lafontaine was great too. All 3 are under-rated for whatever reason. RIP Mike Bossy!!

Agreed Grapes. All to often the commentators of today hardly mention Bossy as one of the greatest goal scorers of all time.

Bossy was better than Ovechkin. Ovechkin misses the net half the time and when he does hit the net he has a low 13% shooting percentage. I think Bossy's is around 21%.
@bufnyfan12 жыл бұрын
Alex Ovechkin has now scored at least 50 goals 9 times in a season (but not consecutively)--this is now Ovechkin's 16th season in the NHL--Mr. Bossy scored 50 goals+ in 9 CONSECUTIVE seasons and only played 10 seasons. In his last season, he scored 38 goals in 63 games and had to retire due to a worsening back condition. If Bossy had stayed healthy he would have continued to score 50+ seasons for sure

Thoughts and Condolences to Bossy Family. Mr Bossy and Isles versus Edmonton in '81 playoffs, '83, and then '84. Mr Bossy's goals per game total is 573 in 752 for a .761968 goals per game record. Now this is where it gets interesting, check out Mr Lemieux's totals, no joke, against the games played. And finally, look at Mr Gretzky's, and I've done some numbers, in his 696 games played in Edm, Mr Gretzky had an amazing .8376 goals per game record, but then the balance of the 791 games outside of Edmonton, it is a .39 gpg, which over the average of Mr Gretzky's career, is a .60 gpg approximate. But it was ALWAYS Mr Gretzky's assists, 1086 Assists in 696 games in Edm and then 877 assists outside of Edm in 791 games.

It is just mind boggling that Bossy and Lafleur have both died one week apart. I have always thought of both as still young. Not old like Gordie Howe, Jean Beliveau and others who have died in the last 10 years. Imagine if he didn't have the back injury trouble how many points and goals he would have had by 1989 if he wasn't forced into retirement in 1987? To me him and John Tonelli were a huge reason that Islanders team won 19 straight playoff series from 1980 to 1984.

The argument of ‘how would this NHL legend do in today’s game’ is so freaking stupid. If someone was dominant in their time, that means they have the genetics and work ethic to beat their contemporaries. Therefor if they existed in modern times, they would utilize modern equipment, training methods, PED’s, etc. Obviously if Gretz played today he’d be on all the ‘supplements’ today’s guys are on, and he’d dominate.

Still miss Don Cherry. This cancel culture really pisses me off. "You people" quote from Don was for all people that did not wear a poppy not just a particular group that just came over into our country. There are parades for everything on the streets but Don Cherry was cancelled out and his freedom of speech was cancelled because certain people got offended and Canadians who lived here for at least 40 years never wore poppies and never really cared but yet their feet can walk freely on the streets of Canada while our Canadian soldiers never got the chance to walk those streets of our Country called Canada because they lay where poppies grow. I bet you Mike Bossy and Guy Lafleur wore the Poppy and because they got to play the game free in this country the people got to watch them in a free country from arenas and from their living rooms.

Guy Lafleur & Mike Bossy are Catholics & their freedom was won by Jesus Our Lord & saviour on the cross for them. Canada was not being invaded in WW1 Austria-Hungary ..... Those soldiers who did go & fight for Britain were supporting an evil system that was suppressing, killing Irish Catholics in occupied Ireland. Don Cherry needs to educate himself with historical & religious truth. The allies were on the wrong side in WW 1 ( supporting the ones wanting to destroy christendom totally ).
