I love history. Especially when you see how it influences modern practices and customs.

Nice! I lived in DG for about 2 years, in DongCheng. I have good memories of this place. I used to live in Dyna. The park nearby was awesome. There was this BJJ club a few hundred meters down in older district, where I trained with great guys for a short time before i an injury meant the end of it. On week ends I would often go to Guangzhou or HK, so apart from Murrays and HBtoo once or twice I didn't get to know the night life.

Luckily I visited and recorded the old town of Dongguan back in 2009 when it was largely intact. Last time I visited old Dongguan five years ago much of it had either disappeared or was at of severe risk of it happening. Be under no illusions, the Chinese Communist Party, despite their rhetoric, care little for the tangible history of China. They care only for power and control. It is only a matter of time when "Old Dongguan " is gone. I am fortunate to have visited and recorded this amazing place.
