Is call modloader64 u can play DK 64 with People, u cant see each other in the world but u share everything else like if u buy and upgrade it gets share with every other player, u can even play a randomizer coop to a certain extent… is fun having the task to be just one monkey while u friends complete the other kong bananas

You forgot to mention, Krusha Kremlin as being unlockable for the main story. It could bump the player roster from 4 to 6 players for default campaign without any modifications. Krusha could have all the abilities of the Kongs, but all the weaknesses. ("Jack Of All Trades, But Master At None" type mechanic.)

This will make the game so much easier, especially for the later levels cause if I’m playing somewhere like tiny for example and everybody else is playing somebody else we’re checking everything off the list making the game a lot more easier for like boss fights, and boss and stuff

This concept can work especially if we compare it to Ocarina of Time multiplayer rather than SM64. They found a way to make it work with all the collectibles and items from Zelda, I don't see how this cannot be done.

Or it's like the TV show. He's trying to do his best in the game to be a double agent, but ends up helping the kongs by mistake as he doesn't know what a double agent is.

I know for sure that DK and Chunky can beat Mad Jack. I have never seen or tried to do it with Diddy or Lanky.

I've done it with all kongs, and twirl-less tiny. It's really hard with lanky.

As someone that doesn't replay this game every day, I don't care about changing monkeys or backtracking, I want everything as the original but more players. Likewise just make every player start with DK and unlock the kongs as normal, who cared if 20 DK are playing the game at the same time? Though I'd definitely consider adding a new game plus with everything unlocked for maximum chaos.

There is a hack that lets you swap kongs on the fly. Add that to online. And just let anyone play as anyone imo. Heck, throw Krusha in there for fun. Use the multiplayer recolors if multiple people are the same kong.

I feel like if such a mod were to exist, you should be able to freely change Kongs regardless of what other Kong the other players are using at the moment, not unlike the battle mode. It would solve a lot of logistical issues and while you'd lose on the vision of each player having to stick to a character the whole run for some goated teamwork collectathon, is not like you can't have that as a self imposed challenge or even a separate hardcore mode Also pretty sure some characters in SM64 Online have different traits? Of course, it's still the same overall moveset as Mario, but for instance, Goomba can't jump at all so you're forced to do the A-button challenge, or Waluigi jumps higher, or Peach gets her float, etc. Weirdly, it matches the formula for multiple playable characters in something like Mario 3D World

Well first they'd have to finish the decompilation of the game, which i don't think has happened yet. Once it does though and we get a PC version, the randomizer mod is going to be insane. I do hope this is something they consider eventually, but the technicality of it all has to be explored. I wonder if they could add custom models easily using this hypothetical PC version too, because right now they can't. If this does happen, maybe they could add Kritter as DK, Kip as Diddy, Klump as Lanky, Kass as Tiny, and Krusha as Chunky for a Kremling team. This way we could either have players play as the "same kong" or there could be some team competition mode where Team Kong vs Team Kremling has to get the most collectibles by the end, and you can attack players from the other team to try and stop them from completing objectives.

Well, we got a randomizer that helps the game stay stable on a 64 emulator, so anything is possible.

Personally I think playing online in the story mode would be too complicated, but correct me if I'm wrong. Though I'd love to see a online multiplayer in the VS mode. Especially with up to 8 players in the Battle Arena. 🤘😎🤘 Also it would also be awesome they added some more playable Kongs. For example Dixie & Kiddy.

This should be a post game option. Make new challenges or a time trial option, something along those lines. Maybe have online leader boards where you and your group compete as a team against others.
