@Dry Boi Yeah. It's weak in comparrison, that doesn't mean shit though.

@Dry Boi admittedly, I find it hard to judge the quality of returns' soundtrack. the remixes are all great, I'd even say most are better than the originals, so on a pure music standpoint it may have one of the best soundtracks in the series. but when the game is just so incredibly lacking in original compositions and is just coasting on DKC1 nostalgia, does the OST really have any merit at all?
@kronikclubby32892 жыл бұрын
@@jclkaytwo absolutely! It was responsible for david wise's inspiations for #2. While the individual songs were not as technically impressive, their theming was top notch. That all being said, it's fairly well accepted that DKC2 was the pinnacle of the trilogy's OST's. I mean...Hothead Hop, Mining Melancholy, and of course the infamous stickerbrush symohony were all 3 knockouts. Who could even argue that?

The SNES is where video games really hit their stride. The NES obviously laid the groundwork and deserves some respect, but the games were mediocre in the grand scheme of what would come. But, the SNES is where video games really took off. We got phenomenal masterpieces like the DKC trilogy, Super Mario World 1 and 2, A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid. It's where video games became a sensation. In a sense, it's where it all started. When I listen to this song, that's what comes to mind. It has a humble beginning, but a brisk tempo and builds itself up. It never builds into anything particularly impressive, but it gives the sense that greatness is on the way and there's plenty of it to come. Amazing adventure is around the corner. Not just form this game, but form everything that came after it.

Yes! This song does not get enough recognition and your remix of it is great as always. I’m excited to see what else will come out of the SNES classics 2 since the console has some the best soundtracks. Keep up the good work!
