Donkey Kong Country - Bad Boss Boogie Remake

I'm back with another banger from the DKC series.
The boss fights in this game used to terrify me as a kid, mainly because of the music. After going back and playing the game again, I realised just how great this track actually is. I'd really love to know what inspired David at the time when creating this piece. It reminds me of the Michael Myers theme by John Carpenter but also elements of it sound a little bit like Dream Theater to me, which is why I went a bit extra with the Portnoy inspired drums.
Aside from this track, the boss levels did seem a little repetitive and like they were a last addition before the game released. I'm glad there was some variation in DKC2.
I think the next track I'm gonna work on will be another GoldenEye one and hopefully on my next free days I'll get around to playing Perfect Dark.
