"Kaze and the Wild Masks" and "Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair" are DKC clones that need a sequel.

Yooka-Laylee will get a remaster and a new game is in the works, was confirmed when the remasters new trailer dropped. The only downside is we don’t know in which direction the game goes. Kaze is also a great game. But I can get very hectic and chaotic when you want to do everything, but that adds to its Charme. I hope it gets a sequel. There is definitely potential.

Games like this are why we need Switch 2 already. Way too many games that just can't perform well on Switch anymore. Hopefully, Switch 2 will have a "boost mode" that can improve the performance and/or resolution of Switch 1 games.

I know the Switch would have gotten DB sparking and Visions of Mana could have done way better. I wish Nintendo would kick dragging its feet.

Just playing the game on stronger hardware should fix framerate issues. Bumping it up to 60 FPS and 4K resolution would require a patch and I don't think most developers will bother. Hopefully I'm wrong.

It wasn't till I saw that you could collect letters to spell "NIKO" that I realized these are almost all the same letters as "KONG" 😂

Why aren’t there any open world adventure platformers .. why still to stick on with side scrolling platformers only We do have tons of side scrolling platformers Donkey Kong Yooka Laylee Impossible Lair Super Lucky Tale Kao the Kangaroo Mario bowsers furry Crash bandicoot Spyro A Hat in time Kaze and the wild masks Jet kave Klona Mario wonder The list continues… what we don’t have Mario Odyssey, Rachet & clank rift apart, Bakeru genre - Open world adventure Platformers

agreed, what irritates me most is that even Nintendo don't want to make them. Did we really need three mario RPGs in two years (mario rpg, paper mario TYD and the upcoming Mario and Luigi Brothership)... mario should be platforming in 3d,not taking turns to attack and gain XP

Even the Inde developers forgets about having big opportunity in adventure platformers segment … recently launched Astro bot is big hit , this ensures there is a big market space for Open world Adventure Platformers… What makes cool in this segment is about simple ,fun , not too complex linear gameplay which will be loved by all players including children’s and adults … it’s the most safest bet which is getting unexplored … where the investment returns should be 3x

I love your reviews and think that you have got this one spot on for the platform, but I do have to say that some of the gameplay from this video is absolutely infuriating to watch. Blatantly missing or leaving objects behind, making horrible jumps then backtracking to the heart only to make the exact same jump, running into enemies, etc. I know this won't be everyone's take on it, but it almost seems like the score could be directly associated with the poor gameplay. I have watched you play platformers before and know that you are a better player than what is being presented here. The gameplay almost seems like you were rushing through the game and can by association make it seem that the review was rushed. Again, I completely agree with the score for the platform as this game plays leaps and bounds better on the PS5.

Yeah this game as lots of bugs each world still shows letter and keys that shouldn’t b there also workshop as more scrolls than ps5 so it’s impossible to collect everything in the work shop also barrels in cobing mines freezes ans gets stuck and still not sorted as I have ps5 and that works perfect on ps5 so completed 100 per cent on ps5 so unfortunately deleted on the switch as it doesn’t work properly so I’ve just kept it on ps5 until all patches are complete

Interesting to look at but pretty much I'd just play Donkey Kong Country,Yooka-Laylee,New Super Lucky's Tale or Marsupilami.

Donkey Kong country ain't 3D, yooka laylee doesn't have animal buddies to ride, never heard of the other titles...

But even Tropical freeze has long loading times, and 30fps, most of your issues with the game come from the switch itself, i KNOW you're aware that Nintendo's own IP's run better then most ports in the switch library mainly due to the development being in house with switch dev experts, so this review seems kinda harsh

Tropical Freeze has long loading times but it's not 30 FPS. It's 60.
