I went into this, thinking it'd be another train wreck of a game like the awful Pac-Man game... but then Ashens kept pointing out how intuitive the game design was. Good use of the "roll & move" rule - shame it gets a lot of stick these days

In my opinion, back then board games were fun as hell...nowadays we get simplified shit...Risk for example, back then great game...now we get risk with a basic boring to look at game board yet not enough pieces for world domination gameplay...Grrrrr. The pieces are plain and boring to look at arrows (Which are annoying to pick up sometimes) if you do not get any kind of special edition version and just the basic. Other than the fact if you do not have a full party can always mix and match colors for that but guess the real point of playing is objectives anyway but...not my point :). Back then, board games were creative and fun yet seemed complicated at first but were really simple. Now it's more or less a snooze fest 99% of the time.

Nope. If you had ever played the actual Donkey Kong video game, you would remember that when you jump over or destroy the barrels or fire, you get points for doing so. So, the point cards in this board game are the actions of jumping or using the hammer and you get the points on them for using them. Basically, if you don't have a point card to use when a barrel or fire gets to you, that is a strike against you; you lose points since there is no real "lives" system with the board game.
