I had to make some modifications to this guitar. I fitted a piece of dowel to the top of the neck for a tuner to sit on as the metal there is not thick enough. I found the metal 'guitar shapes' unstable so drilled right through and added brass bolts. I didn't like using the hex keys so now a phillips screwdriver does the job. I installed strap locks, fitting the lower one next to the original clip. I use it while travelling as it fits into my suitcase after I remove one of the 'shapes.' I play slide so it's a great guitar. I put it though distortion FX and amp. Sounds great. I'm still using the original strings and assume I'll go to electric when I change them.

Hey Jakob, it's a piezo bridge saddle pickup. It's not made for distortion. But I made it work.

Hi, how does the head piece fit? Any gaps, any angle? The fact that there's only two screws concerns me... I've seen the traveler guitar with the same system with a gap and an angle.

I just looked, the plate is flat against the end of the neck. No gaps. Doesn't feel like it's going anywhere.

Hi there. I’ve just purchased this guitar from Amazon and I’m loving it. My question: is this guitar suitable to nylon string? I’ve asked this directly to Donner (UK), but I got no answer.

You can probably put nylon strings on it. But you won't have classical guitar string spacing. The string spacing is wider on nylon guitars.

Comfort is subjective. It's not uncomfortable.

If ever the tuning machine gets rusty over the course of time, is there anyway you can buy a replacement for that part?

How was the action right out of the box? Did it take any adjustments?

Mine is a little over 1/16 of an inch. I flat sanded the bottom of the saddle a little. It was probably 3/32" out of the box. Which is probably standard for an acoustic.

What type of strings should i get for that guitar?

I have a light set of acoustic strings on it. .010-.047. D'Addario. It will probably sound fine with electric strings also.

KZbin blocks links. Those strings are fine. The original strings are acoustic strings. I don't know the brand.

@@serkanbic It's not classical guitar string spacing. I wouldn't use nylon. The pickup is a piezo, yes it will pick up nylon.

Can I connect this guitar with a Vox Mini 5 Rhythm amp? I know it is not an electric guitar and comes with a piezo pickup, but I wanted this to work with the set up that I already have and I am not sure about the technicalities behind it. Please let me know.

Yes, it will work with any guitar amp.

Probably so, but nylon string guitars usually have wider string spacing. Might be hard to play.

Just standard tuning, 440
