I tell you, some of the best pop/rock songs came out in the late 50s and early 60s. Of course our old friends The Beatles soon came along and it all got even better all around and Americans continued to put out such great melodies of more tunes in the 60s and 70s. This fella Donnie looks like a good guy and has a real nice voice.

Great voice, and song, sang with some passion. Nice stepping/bop moves at the instrumental break appropriate for the song and time period. Slick DA haircut looks good on him, likewise appropriate for singers of that time period.

Before I woke up this morning I had this super real dream I was perfectly heartfully singing a song to someone I had a crush on. I only remembered a few lines like “your magic touch and and of gold”. I wrote down it was sung by Steve Stewart and the Cavaliers. I woke up and thought I’ve got to find that song. I looked up Steve Stewart no luck. Then for some reason I thought Mission Bell had similar lyrics. Typed in Mission Bell and your video popped up. Listened and watched and thought that’s it. That’s the song. Been going through your great channel all day. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. A Dream brought me to your channel and I’m very glad. Thank you.

shyman99, thank you for uploading this tune, one of my favorites. I would like to know who the backup singer(s) is/are. She/they did a fantastic job. The group that has been suggested as being the backup is The Blossoms, but I have heard Darlene Love's group and don't think they did it. Do you have any insight to offer? (I have the feeling it is one girl, overdubbing to get the sound.)

On this plus side , I was 4 years old and loved this song to death . I turned it up every time I heard it on the radio . On the other side , the dance moves make me roll my eyes , and the obvious lip syncing really makes me think less of the performance . Should have sang the song .
