Agony, pain, deep love and drenched in humbled conviction. We’re lucky to hear something so private. Guilt and fear cause people to act very strange. There’s something so pulpy and raw in this song, like a love letter meant only to her, from him. Damn beautiful

I'm 70 years old and heard someone say that line of this song, "I love you more than you'll ever know.". Then it flashed into my head that that's a title of a Donny Hathaway song. These are some strong, beautiful & loving words that a man can say to his woman. This song was released back in 1973-- the year I turned 21-- some 50 years ago. But good 🎵🎶 music never get's old. Rest in Peace and Power, Donny. Wish I had a man to say these precious words to me.

He never signed his name to a greeting card to me...just wrote, I love you more than you'll ever know. Will be three years Thanksgiving 2020 he's been gone. 34 years of marriage, and everytime I think I'm okay with his being gone, I find a birthday or Valentine's card signed, You'll never know how much I love you.... and I just cant stop the tears of love, missing him and glad to have had him in my life.

I was thinking about depression and weakness. It is a beautiful song and nicely performed but he sounds weak. He will become nothing for her. That is the insanity of love. I bet she doesn't care about him and he is begging. This is how women break men's spirits and make them emotional beggars. Break free; a very nice song but another example of a defeated man at the hands of an uncaring woman, a man who is unwilling to walk away. RIP Donny Hathaway, Mr. Hathaway.
@ShesQueenin2475 жыл бұрын
@@Wildcat5181 this is old love baby you may never understand bc men dont love nor take care of family like this anymore! Ain't nothing weak about a man expressing himself. The only way to overcome depression is to open up. Meanwhile women sing and been going through the same thing for many decades. Let that man love that woman how he like! 👌
