At 77 years and facing the twilight of this and all that it is, it`s so nice to go back to a sane and comfortable time,,,,and imagine, this includes the 60`s.

What a great live version! His voice is deeper and more mature and he sings slower than on the record. She's good too, but I wish he were doing it on his own.

I played lead guitar during the 60s on a Country Rock band called The Way West. We played every weekend and sometimes two times on Saturdays doing weddings. I loved that time, i felt alive and needed. That's all gone now. I would give anything to get those moments back. I loved my music my partners in the band and the excitement. Life has become too complicated and restricted now. Remember what you have because it could all ho away in an instant Blessings Georgie The Way West 😂😂😂❤

Judging by Ms. Gayle's appearance, I'd guess somewhere near the mid-1970s. Donovan (born 10 May 1946) seems too youthful here for the 1980s - by then he looked a wee bit older. He first released the song early in 1965 when he was still 18 years old.
@alanoneill3065 Жыл бұрын
@@dogsmusicbookstravelscience I agree with that

"He moved to Ireland in the early 1970s. After a ten years of success and endless touring Donovan was burned out. So, on the advice of his management team, he got away from it all at Castlemartin Estate in Co Kildare (later purchased by Tony O’Reilly). It was supposed to be a quick, recuperative trip. Yet, the longer he spent in Ireland the greater the empathy he felt, with the landscape, the people and the history."
