that's got to be one of the most simple ways to check to see if something's going to fit it doesn't cost you anything that was a great idea because I wanted to put fender flares and spaces on my older Dodge Ram 1500 and now I can see how to do that thank you very much never thought of that something that's simple to do I have to put this up which one of y'all best videos just because of how simple that was to do

Try using a nail or a drywall screw to hold that piece of cardboard onto the tire next time. Works for me every time. 👉🏼👌🏼

We did the same trick on my truck but used a bigger piece of cardboard and just cut a perfect 3" by 12" rectangle and sharpied a line at 1 1/2" long ways and just wrapped the thing around the tire squaring up the line with the edge of the tire.

I’m not sure what size spacers I’m wanting to run, I’ll either use your cardboard method to figure out what I want or get a pair or two of really cheep spacers to help me figure it out, then spend the money to get the ones I’m wanting and in the size I’m wanting. Plan and simple. Spacers aren’t good for your vehicle. It puts wear and tear on your axles. It’s like wearing shoes on the outside of your feet. That would cause pain on your ankles and knees. Same as your axles.

a positive 24 will be more sunk in to the wheel well, the more negative, the further out it sits!

+24 doesn't stick out at all... -24 sticks outside the wheel well a little -44 stick out more etc etc... Point of story is if you want your wheels to stick out and give a more aggressive stance go with a negative (-) offset... The higher the number the more they will stick out... Take a look at custom Offsets gallery and do the advanced search and select the offset to see what they look like on other people trucks

With the cardboard trick. is it only the outside edge i should worry about.? because for me it clears it there, though if i got deeper into the wheel well the clearance does not work. Trying to throw 2 inch spacers on my 2019 ram 1500 classic with no lift or leveling kit installed.

Best thing to do is to buy a wheel with the proper offset so you don't have to put spacers on.

Not always the case... Some trucks when lifted have a wider stance in the front no matter what offset the wheels are meaning you would need spacers just in the rear to make the rears match up with the fronts!... I was actually behind a newer chevy 1500 today and it was soooo obvious that his front wheels stick out a good 3 inches farther than his rears did, it looked like complete shit even tho it was a nice pickup, it would drive me absolutely insane if that was my truck lol he def needed 2-3" spacers just for his rear

what happens if instead of the washers I take a whole bunch of pieces of cardboard and make it to the size I want the tire to stick out so say hi to cut 10 of them to give me that 2 in could you run your truck that way with the cardboard as your spacer I'm only joking that was just as bad as the washes that you actually had it tells people not till run washers as wheel spacers I guess you have to cuz you got stupid people out there custom offset did it on a video they didn't say you couldn't do it I can see the news now go to video take care
