For context, in the original series, Shao Kahn was defeated, but he was never destroyed, so he came back and caused the end of the world. Raiden realizes that in order to prevent this Shao Khan needs to try and merge the realms so the Elder Gods can intervene, killing him for good.

Extra context: He seems to have canonically survived Onaga's ambush on the Pyramid of Argus during Armageddon and made it to the top

noob saibot and subzero r brothers they were both human and noob saibot was the first subzero and after scorpion killed him his younger brother took up the mantle as sub zero which is where u were confused in the last vid if i remember correctly. the first subzero was then resurrected as noob saibot and the second one was then forced to become cyber subzero which u see in this vid.

Also I don't remember if anybody in the last part told you but in the original mortal Kombat 3 smoke was the cyborg and this game takes place during the third tournament. Also Noob is Bi Han the original Sub-Zero that scorpion killed resurrected by Quan Chi, and the second Sub-Zero is his younger brother Kuai Liang. Since smoke was saved from the Lin kuei cyber initiative in raiden's attempt to prevent Armageddon, Kuai Liang suffered his fate instead and is now Cyber Sub-Zero.

Liu Kang's death was actually an accident. Raiden meant to block the attack. But Liu Kang's fire mixed with Raiden's lightning causing him to get burnt

Starting with the kratos clip those are all single player arcade endings. You climb the tower and eventually beat Kahn and see the ending of the character you played. It is separate from the actual story mode

Next is Mortal Kombat X. Also The semi-animated narrated cutscenes at the end are the character endings that are unlocked if you beat the arcade mode as a character. they're like "what if" scenarios and are not canon, at least in this game. only the character endings in Mk1 and Mk 11 are technically canon.

When reacting to future Mortal Kombat cutscenes, please choose a creator other than MK Ice and Fire, they usually cut and edit stuff out. Gamer's Little Playground is a channel that includes everything.

Plus if you notice, he was charging up the same move he used to kill shao khan in the arena. It always looked to me like Raiden reflected liu kang's power back on him, and since he was charging up a killing blow, well, he had the blow reflected back on him.

Mk9 starting scene was the plot of last mk game. Which shao khan won , if the timeline went uninterrupted. Also When raiden met stryker he had a vision of Jhonny Cage getting killed by Motaro (half man hald horse) So raiden killed him.

Agreed. That whole scene was bullshit, but at least have some continuity with fatal injuries. You're telling me subzero is a robot here and he dies from an uppercut? Seriously? Stryker went toe to toe with Ermac and Kintaro not even 5 minutes ago, and now he dies from a punch? Kabal I get because she pushed her heel into his chest, and he already had damaged lungs. Also, why in the ever living fuck did Raiden take liu kang with him to see the elder gods? Literally all they would've had to do is send liu kang and Sindel would've been done for. That one scene really made the whole trilogy suffer as a result.

@@coolmanplayz438 Oh I hate that one at a time beat around the bush bullshit. There was a lot of electricity surging out of Sub from it so maybe that speaks to not only the strength of that uppercut, but also the downward punch that pretty much caved Stryker's face in. Only reason she's that strong anyways is because shes infused with the soul of an entirely re-invigorated Shang Tsung. What lost me was in the NRS games particularly the latest is I don't think they'll ever dare to try and stick to a single timeline like they did in the PS2 era so Im not sure I'll ever really be given any time to care about any incarnations of characters like I did from the very first game, up to Deadly Alliance, all the way to Mortal Kombat X and 75% of MK 11.

@@Auovix Besides all the other things I've mentioned, the reason I hate that scene the most, is because it breaks a big rule in violent storytelling. It uses violence for shock value. That's the only reason the scene exists, and the narrative of netherrealm studios games suffers because of it.
