As an immortal Raiden can't interfere in Mortal Kombat unless directly challenged. The pink energy Sonya shoots are from her wristbands not a superpowr. But in the movie they decided to give everyone powers with those marks which is not the case in the game universe. The scene with Milleena was censored. there will be more cases like this. If you think a scene has been censored or cut try another video on KZbin, it's usually not even that explicit. Remember how the first Sub-Zero said "That's not me" when Quan Chi showed Scorpion his past, it'll be important for later games.

This game is a soft reboot of the previous 8 Mortal Kombat games, thus the time travel aspect. It is similar to the new Star Trek movies in that regard.

​@@jamichealruiz In a "Hard" reboot, they pretty much drop any direct references to the old continuity. A "Soft" reboot is when you don't discard the previous continuity. Eg: Star Trek 11, when time travel results in a new timeline, and Spock from the old timeline interacts with the reboot characters to some extent.

Also, characters like Nightwolf, Stryker, Cyrax, Sektor, Kabal, Sheeva are from Mortal Kombat 3. That's when they were first introduced. Bi-han is the original Sub-Zero from the very first Mortal Kombat game for Sega Genesis. His younger brother Kuai Liang is the successor as the next in-line Sub-Zero.

Btw don the reason you can’t fully see mileena is because her outfit when you first meet her goes against KZbin guidelines, or something like that. She’s wrapped in very few bandages basically naked. However after that she gets her normal outfit and she is shown on screen.

Yeah I did not see this coming, would love to see part 2. I remember going to the midnight release of this game because I loved the PS2 games as a kid. My fascination with it as a child kinda started when I first played played Soul Calibur II at a cousins' house and my mother said it reminded her of Mortal Kombat, a game her and my father used to play on the Sega Genesis before they split which kinda lit something up in my head (mom was a bicycle kick spammer and pop liked to play as the ladies) Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, and Soul Calibur II for the gamecube were the first ever T rated games I was ever allowed to own and I played them both to death and eventually when I got the PS2 slim after it'd been out for a minute I got my hands on the last generation of Midway Mortal Kombat games Deadly Alliance, Deception, Shaolin Monks, and Armageddon. I unlocked every secret character in monks, made a bunch of kustom fighters in Armageddon, played every arcade, konquest, unlocked everything in the krypts in all the games and have played every game since then except for the latest one so the franchise holds a special place in my heart. I loved all the stories told up to 11 :^)

So with this game came a soft reboot of the original 8 games. If you're curious about the original story I'll give a brief summary. Liu Kang wins the first tournament and majority of events still play the same. The second tournament comes about and Liu Kang wins again. Shao Kahn invades Earthrealm and gets his ass kicked by the chosen one himself. Salty about all the losses, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi ganks and kill Liu Kang. The rise of the dragon Onaga, the true ruler of Outworld comes back. Raiden, Shang, and Quan form a temporary alliance to kill him, but he's too powerful. Raiden blows himself up to try and kill Onaga, but he survives. Raiden comes back to life, but becomes a corrupt God, doing anything he deems necessary to protect Earthrealm. Shujinko, another powerful warrior, kills Onaga by pushing his soul out of his body. Raiden resurrects Liu Kangs body as a zombie warrior to help fight the upcoming war against Outworld. Liu's soul is bound to Kitana to try and get him to his zombie body to revive him. Then Armageddon happens, a giant war between the good guys and bad guys. The elder gods, wanting to end the battle, awakened Armageddon to make everyone, despite the side they're on, to fight each other for the power within the monster on the Armageddon pyramid. Everyone dies, including Liu Kangs soul when Kitana dies, and Shao Kang defeats the monster and gained the power to kill the elder gods. And that's when the beginning of MK 9 is. Raiden trying to save the realms by sending a message and visions through time. Hope that helps a little!

Canonically, Raiden and Shang Tsung (the old guy( would be the strongest out of all the fighters you saw. In general though, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are the strongest fighters.

Forget everything you saw from the 2021 film, this is the Real story of Mortal Kombat, so no "Archana" and no hidden baby and Cole (they were movie originals). Also the reason why the Kitana vs Mileena moment was so choppy was cause Mileena was only wearing bandages and showing A Lot of skin, so to avoid demonitization the channel cut those scenes out, the same thing happened at the very beginning of the video having to cut out the pan up of all the dead characters at tbe pyramid before we arive at Raiden and Shao Kahn. It's sort of a double edged sword going forward with MKIceAndFire, while the channel is doing your job for you of having to sensor the gorier scenes and lewder scenes, you are missing out on some of the story details that are cut out because of all the blood in future videos
