Peaches look good brother! I guess the few nights of 25f weather here has at least one benefit. No fruit flies. We do have brown rot though! Good luck George!

Looks awesome. We are starting to pick our Angeles donuts peach. Super sweet and has its own flavour. By far my favourite peach.

Curious , do you plant your trees in a container and then bury them in the grass ? Spears that way anyhow .

You are absolutely right. It is a race. My donut peaches were annihilated the moment they ripened up... By birds, opossums, and especially raccoons (the branch busters). This year I'm picking early for sure!

I used UV light and it removed all of those bugs. You can try it out.

I used the UV light and put the water under it, the UV light attract the bugs and it flight to the UV light and fall to the water.

Do the fruit fly eggs, worms and pupae grow inside you after you eat them out of the peach? I wouldn't eat that fruit.

As a woke vegan, incidental animal protein doesn't bother me. I'd be far more concerned about the daily consumption of flesh from cow, chicken, sheep and fish consumed by almost every human on this planet!

It’s very annoying when picking of a really nice looking piece of fruit and the other side has bugs tunnelling into it. Good luck with the race

Hello,when you do hand pollination ,are you using the male flower of another anon tree? If not, that’s probably the reason it’s not setting fruit, ,,,,that’s how I solved that problem with my paw paws!
@RealLifeFruitopia
@RealLifeFruitopia 3 жыл бұрын
I've not heard of doing it that way. I've only hand pollinated male to female from the same tree.

plant some calendula under the custard apple maybe for increased pollination, edible and beautiful perennial, anti inflammatory, pest control companion

Hey, good video. But if that was my peach tree, it would be gone. I hate bugs in fruit...turns me off. There is a new flat peach called, Flat Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

We don't mind some organic bugs, so long as we stay clear of processed meats and dairy which are far more disgusting than what's in fruit. I'll check out the Flat Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

For pollination did you try to take the flower at night then you pollinate at daylight? I heard someone in a video saying the flower is male at night and female during the day
@RealLifeFruitopia

I've done that, but I haven't tried taking pollen from another Anona which someone here suggested.
