Let's say you want to build a car to go compete. You can't just build the craziest thing you can manage. You’ve got to follow these things called “rules”. But what happens when a professional race team ditches that rulebook and makes the most insane, most powerful, drift car ever to lay down some rubber? Our buddy and pro drifter Chris Forsberg built a drift car so sick, it’s not even allowed in Formula D! And today we not only get to show you this car for the first time, but how this car came to be and why breaking the rules was necessary for its creation.

Im an engineer, and i just want to say i really appreciate you guys taking the time to do a little deeper explanation on why things are done they are done. You could have just said, "round tubes are stronger than square tubes" but you do a great job of giving an explanation thats technical enough to be correct and keep my eye from twitching from glossed over things that are technically inaccurate, without getting to deep into 2nd moments of area and stuff like that. And you do a great job of explaining the why behind things. Big props to the writers and whoever is in charge of technical stuff.

Sweet handling, -1g on skidpad, that's right this car is so awesome that when your turning left hard you also get forced left, figure that out. Mine has the red triangle tune. I feel the need to say building drift taxis are not a new thing (we have lots of drift taxis at GATEBIL for example). But it is realy cool that they took it to this extreme level with a whole tube chassis and stuff. it is espesialy cool that they made it so they in theory could "mass produce" those chassis and have a whole fleet of drift taxi Altima's. sorry for any bad spelling, love the videos. much love from Sweden.

Seems like this would be a good prototype for a higher-spec drift class, sort of like the Formula 1 of drift. The only question would be "is it more entertaining to see two of these do a drift run?" and I think the answer would be a loud YES. So maybe it won't be too long before we see an elite drift class for the fully-cashed-up teams to play with.
