I always thought it was a Self reflective kind of song and question. His now more better ascended version being asked by his older self if he is really ok after all he has seen and watched happen to him. Sometimes it’s hard to stop and look at ourselves and realize we are different from the last time we looked at ourselves.

This song is about one of his suicide attempts, dunno if I’d say it’s a song to chill to lol I believe there’s been more than one suicide attempted Atlantic is also about the attempt and the aftermath. Several songs mention scars on his arms and tearing his body. Like I said you miss too much when you go out of order 😊

This song is reminiscent of the power ballads of the 80s. I enjoy this song because I'm a hair band lover from the 80s & 90s. My daughter had issues with self harm and I felt much like this song, i wanted to help her but didnt know how. She's been better the past couple years, but i will always worry about her. She got me into Sleep Token and we are going to see them May 6th, so I'm grateful we will get to have this experience together. To my knowledge they have not performed this song live yet. I'm hoping they will when we see them, but from the videos online from their current shows in Australia, they haven't performed this song yet. So, here's hoping. Looking forward to seeing more ST. She's tried a couple semesters of college but says it's not for her. So hopefully she'll find herself in the AF. These 3 albums are a trilogy. All of the songs, across all 3 albums, tie together to one another. Several of the songs on the TMBTE album reference songs from the previous 2 albums, especially Euclid. (which is a masterpiece, btw) React to the first song from their first album titled "The Night Does Not Belong To God" BEFORE reacting to Euclid as it'll make a lot more sense. Then when you do the playthrough with lyrics, with the TMBTE album, do it in order of the album starting with Chokehold through Euclid. It tells a story (tragic but moving one) through the songs that you won't tie together fully listening to individual songs out of order. When they play their concerts, they play the album through continuous from beginning to end. A big reason why they're my favorite band, besides the amazing singing and genre switching, is the story-telling while expressing all of the pain that comes with it. Vessel is not afraid to show his vulnerability. These 3 albums could be a hit tragic romance, action-drama TV series, and I would binge-watch the ever loving sh*t out of it. This song follows Ascensionism and is followed by The Apparition, tying into both. The lyrics of this song make those 2 songs sound deeper when you connect them. Every one of their songs are written for a purpose. There are no fillers.

In my opinion, sleep tokens imagery, and songwriting is about two things. First one, it’s about a toxic relationship. That shouldn’t be too hard to discern for most of the story. The other part is, it’s about addiction. The thing that I can’t tell is whether it’s addiction to each other and the toxic relationship or how addiction affects the toxic relationship. Possibly both. It I think this song lends itself to that theory pretty clearly. Love your takes. Found you through ST and been here awhile. Cheers mate, keep it up.
