thanks for posting this, my dad was a crew chief on one in Germany, he said it was a great jet but slow on take off, he got in a bit of trouble for reworking the plates to give it more boost on take off, his jet was airborne in half the runway distance than the others, the W German based one pictured at 7:54 would be what his looked like, his tail # was 27346

In 1986 I bought the Revell F-84 kit that had the nuclear "shape" with the aircraft's name Misanthrope. They released it as a Thunderbird demo team kit and none of the weapons or military decals. Good kit though.

I have the old Heller 1/48 RF-84F and compared to this kit here the Heller kit looks like a kid's toy! Other than the lackluster decals this kit looks great. Thanks for reviewing; I can't wait to get one.

9:05.....Ooops.....you made a mistake there !! Just as it says on the decal sheet, these ARE Italian markings and they are red-white-green, indeed. Tanmodel did it right. The correction sheet is for the French and Turkish version. Other than that, you make great videos !

New boxes do not have mouse pads anymore, now they come with new cartographic extra decals and masking tapes for canopy...

Got mine yesterday before I saw this review :o) Agree with everything you say, the decals remind me of the "old" Monogram ones with their thick and glossy coating. Nice to see a picture of the Belgian one displayed here in Brussels where I work so if you need more photos let me know. The mouse pad is a bit weird, by definition if I use it as a mouse pad I can't put a kit on it and if I use it as a base I can't use it as a mouse pad. Great review !
