LoL, technically it's a Turbo-Fan, close enough to say too modern? 🤔 Had school mates flying these during the Gulf. It's an "Oh My" kind of kit even without the emotional attachment.

Academy seems to be stepping up their game. I've heard their new F-14 1/72 model is the best in that scale, on par with Tamiya's 1/48. A big jump considering their old model of the F-14 in the same scale was very middle of the pack.

It's interesting that there was a sprue labeled "A-10" and another specifically labeled "A-10C". I'm wondering if an A-10A is in the works. I hope so.

Skeptical only because of the decals. They look good but I've never had luck with any academy decals in the past, only ones from cartograf have been worth a darn

@@moosescorner The decal manufacturing company has changed, so we are satisfied with the quality of decal Recently released products are different from old terrible quality decals. However, when you purchase a product, buy a product that lasts 21 to 22 years

Instrument panel and side console decals are a bit disappointing. Idk, maybe I'm spoiled by the GWH great IP decals, but something tells me Academy could do better, especially with those dials.

@@putuplasts7940 1/48 scale cockpits are pretty small anyway. A decent dry brush will probably do for the IP. With a few dabs of a paint pen on the consoles. I probably would not use the kit cockpit decals.
