This song is great for one reason. The emotions involved in the lyrics (and the intention of the artists) gives the spirit to the song. You can always relate it to the reality of life.

Perfect addition to blink, completely different to Tom but lyricly incredible and love his rough, ruggidy edge he adds to them! Seeing alkaline trio in3 hours, can't wait! Slam dunk 2021

"Over and out, " she said from a hospital bed "For what it's worth, it doesn't hurt, don't cry" "Over and out, " he said with a .45 to his head "The war has taken everything from me, it's all I've seen" So run for cover as fast as you can We're fighters, lovers, enemies, friends And guns and knives, apologize for leaving you tonight Leaving you tonight "Over and out, " he sighed, "It seems I've run out of time Please, tell my wife I loved her more than life itself" "Over and out, " she sang as the telephone rang "There's no pain, no answering no more, no" So run for cover as fast as you can We're fighters, lovers, enemies, friends And guns and knives apologize for leaving you Run for cover and you'll find us there We'll take out the anguish, make it disappear With hand grenades and napalm flames I'm leaving you tonight Let this candle burn 'til you get home Never forget your face, never lose hope tonight Run for cover as fast as you can We're fighters, lovers, enemies, friends And guns and knives apologize for leaving you Run for cover and you'll find us there (Over and out) We'll take on the anger, make it disappear (Over and out) With razorblades we're softly serenading you

Why do people go on about there sound changing! i really dont think it has changed that much they still got the dark under tone to there music and they have always had softer and heavier songs so fucking what they do some accoustic sets these days!! (which i love)

@mwhite011 It may also be because of this song. If you watch the interview about this song in particular it's about people in his family. Idk if it's just me but it seems like he almost got choked up a few times during this. That's just my theory on him wearing the glasses here =)
