Doom 3 for Doom 2 mod - Full play through of The Return & No Rest For The Living lets play part.1

if someone can make this run on supposedly era correct hardware ( e.g. Pentium - Pentium III plus a Voodoo / 3DFX card) that would be fantastic. For reference, Doom 3 retail required a Pentium IV and a DX9 video card.

@djc604 you can pretty much run Doom on almost anything, even a birth pregnancy reader , a toaster , your cars GPS lol

The closest I’ve gotten in recent years is running 1 and 2 on AO486 on a Mister FPGA but pretty sure 3 would not work. I wonder how it would run on one of those AliExpress Pocket 386 PCs. It’s a shame how insanely marked up the cost of most vintage hardware is these days. Wish I’d foreseen it back when old PCs were stacked on palettes by the dozens because no one wanted them. There used to be a local Radio Shack outlet that would let you walk out with anything you could carry for $20 bucks. Now some of that tech sells for $2 grand on Ebay.

I remember those days , especially back in the early 90s with 8 year old me just being wowed by graphics on Doom , the lighting, the the bright retro color palate, sprites . I got to play games like Heretic too . But those flop disk had only ten levels on each one so I couldn't imagine the hustle you would have to go through just to get the entire complete series ,I'm thinking maybe anywhere from 3 to 4 disk . They Flesh Consumed episode for Ultimate Doom didn't release until right around the release of Doom 2 in 94 as way of promoting series . Id always knows how to deliver if I do say so myself.

@@Dude4786EyeHaveAutism same here. I fondly remember gibbing imps at 4 frames per second on a lowly 386 using an amber monochrome monitor and PC speaker. Must've been circa 1993. That shit was bleeding edge at the time
