It was kind of bad though, I literally went from 2016 ultra violent to dying on hurt me plenty because everytime I run into battle I immediately ran out of ammo and don’t have enough fuel to chop down big enemies

@@papirosco4455 Don't do that. Save your chainsaw pips for when you need to get a bit more ammo, use the Chaingun and heavy cannon mods to use your bullets, diversify your ammo usage. Dash constantly, use glory kills and chainsaw animations if you feel like as though you're going to get hit with something big. That is the fundamental building blocks of doom eternal's combat. And that is what also allowed me to beat it with ten extra lives on hurt me plenty. It's a lot more fast paced than doom 2016 was. But that's what I love about Doom eternal. It's faster and more intense.

A game so good, I paid for it twice. First for PS4 release day, and second for PC during a sale, and I even bought the DLC season pass. I beat the game on both platforms. 48.8 hours went into the PC port of Doom Eternal on my end. I honestly do not regret the purchases. Doom Eternal is serious a game ACTUALLY worth the money. I hope wherever they take DOOM next, I hope it's as good as Doom Eternal because I loved Doom Eternal so much, I enjoyed it a lot more than Doom 2016. It's an expertly crafted experience, and one I'll never forget.

Another good thing that Joe didn't mention was that it's very well optimized. Like Doom 2016 it runs well, you don't get random stutters or frame drops. I think that's really important since sometimes you get a great game but every time it runs like shit it ruins the whole flow, just takes you out of the game.

Yeah, imagine that ...an AI that is programmed to protect the base and everyone inside assessed the situation and saw fit instead of evacuating the workers, it decided to actively warn the demons about the slayer's arsenal and location....and asked to open all doors from HIM to THEM ... AI -->Warning Warning ...to all demons...the slayers just passed the reception...the slayer has the BFG ..... Demons --> ....................shit..................... This is both a god level trolling and a very vindictive thing to do to your enemy. Consider that the demons are scared shitless of the Slayer no matter their overaggressive nature. After hundreds of years of rampage at hell they managed to knock him out by throwing a mountain sized temple at him and they were scared of going close for the killing blow thinking that he might wake up if they fuck it up somehow. They magically condensed the mountain to create a sarcophagus which they left there and placed sygils and "warning signs" all around it and attacked with reckless abandon to all that went pass them from the shear fear of what could happen if he somehow woke up again. Until Samuel Hayden went in and managed with great losses to recover him and brought him to Mars, which is where Doom 2016 starts I'm pretty sure that the base's AI doesn't know all this stuff but we do, which is why all this is a very fitting (doom-wise) joke

I like that DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal offer a continued experience, progress for the story, a progression of difficulty and different features for play. There's a reason for getting both, snapmap, pvp multiplayer, an easy campaign to start it all up and a balls to the walls high stakes finale to give the story a serious challenge for any completionists. I would be happy to have this franchise end here, I just don't know what could possibly make it any better.

Recently bought both Ancient Gods DLCs and came back here to get in the mood for them. Joe, your skits are as legendary as the game itself. It's only been three years or so but the level of nostalgia I have for this game is through the roof. Encountering that first slayer gate is my best gaming experience of the 2010s. It is a titan of the FPS genre and in the industry as a whole. I wish I could go back and play it for the first time again. Roll on the next installment in the franchise. The ONLY game I will spend full price on (provided it hasn't gone to absolute hell, pun intended). This series is pretty much my last bastion of hope in AAA video-gaming.

Now in this game they continue from where the first one left off and literally improved every aspect of the first one. Better gameplay, better story, and surprisingly more content. So im so happy this game shows that developers that would rather make money the traditional way and just make a solid game that will please the fans are still out there.
