The map name is a boss from Streets of Rage 2. Its name is Vehelits and the track played during the level is also the track that shows up in streets of rage

I completely forgot about some parts of this map, like the final fight, and how long it is. Bad way to die after 50 minutes to an infighting rocket. The final fight can be "cheesed" by pressing the 4 switches early, but you have to be very careful (use Imps as meatshield). Then you can teleport out, and kill most of the enemies from the arena where you get the kudos secret. But I'm not sure which way is easier. :o

The name and midi pick are no coincidence, Ribbiks knows of Streets of Rage. But I cannot fathom how he missed the chance to make this a Tyson map! Unbelievable lack of commitment to the bit 😤 The difficulty speaks for itself, let's be honest. Unofficial secret keys, anti-circlestrafe enemy spawns, and every arena has a nasty opportunity to get flanked or bogged down. Zach is showing his fangs. I said before I didn't like the rough wood paneling with the smooth techbase textures, but here I'll give him credit, he put a lot more effort into his odd mix here in Vehelits. There's texture framing, zig-zaggy tron lines in magenta, and creative uses of the wooden and metal tiles. Plus blood! The brown and grey were broken up by magenta a lot, so the color red pops and pops _hard._

49 minute mark. I feel your pain. "That rocket wasn't meant for me" brought back flashbacks to my college sweetheart dumping me during our senior year and telling me that "you're not meant for me." Now I feel as bad as you do!

I was going to skip over the fast forward part, but I started listening to the MIDI and I realized that it was really good. Whoever made it did an awesome job of using the Roland 101 & 303 bass lines synthesizers (emuilated), throughout the track. 🎶🕺🏻🎶💃🏻🎶

Heh, that's an interesting strat. As you said, it might actually be harder... and you'd definitely need to do it during the imp wave I guess, otherwise you'll just get overwhelmed. Worth giving a try though :D
