PC-98 just sounds like someone sampled several Yamaha soundchips but set the samples to the quality of an SNES

Seems at least Touhou 6 doesn't lend well to the Doom sound font... Until you have a song that includes a decent bass instrument. You can really hear it come out as almost like a "groovy" tune once the Doom soundfont was attached in the first Touhou song

What I did was just googling “PC-98 soundfont” and pretty much found a download link. Tbh the soundfont itself is kinda ass and hardly does justice for the real deal, especially the drums. I would just learn how to program real PC-98 music lol
