The first 2 weeks were good but I didn't realize I was able to decline orders which actually took me too many miles. I'm just trying to make about $60 daily but 4 orders took all shift. Have rarely found Dash now a problem in my area at peak times so I have that flexibility in most cases. I only bother at peak times anyway. Not waiting 30 minutes between orders unless I'm sitting at home and good one pops up.

That's how I feel! DoorDash is amazing for a lot of reasons but to penalize us for not allowing ourselves to be exploited with deliveries that would pay us less than minimum wage has me often choosing Ubereats instead!

I deliver both Doordash & Uber Eats. I usually run both apps at the same time. In my area DD has more frequent delivery opportunities but 70% of them are trash payouts that I wouldn't accept. I normally won't take a DD for under $10 & the payout to mile ratio must give me somewhere around $2 per mile. UE may lave fewer delivery opportunities pop up but they have far less of the unacceptable deliveries. Sometimes I'll get an order for like $18 & only have to drive 4.7 miles. With that said, it usually works out that basically I do 1 UE delivery to 3 DD deliveries. But since I seem to get better payouts from UE, the money I get from each is pretty close to equal. Like say I make $100 that day from DD. I will usually make around $80 from UE. I just started using both apps towards the end of 2021 because DD just wasn't cutting it by itself. I'm happy with the outcome of using both.

I usually make more on UE. Even declining crappy payouts, I will end like 120 UE and around 90 for DD

I always get lucky during the wee hours. This morning, in 1hour I made $35+ on DD. All of which were 1.2 m to 3.4m. 3 McDonald's, 1 Denny's. I'd say about 7miles total. $2 peak pay. Start my day off with a plus. Then around 9am -12 noon I'll do the lunch runs... then in the evening 6-9pm, I'll do the dinners. With that being said, I think knowing your market plays a big key no matter what platform we use. Set a goal for yourself. Also, I wanna share this because I was so stoked! I did a delivery from Ala Moana Center to Manoa 3.8miles about. (13min)for $8... I made $52.70! wifey didn't believe me, she took a look at the app and said, the customer tipped $44.70! I said no ways! It was storming. I was soaked and wet! Door dash bag was soaked! Lol. Anyways I'm looking to use more than mutible platforms. Because, I've noticed other platforms picking up while I'm picking up. I'm in it to making extra money and not judge by who's the best. If we can just give each other tips of each platform instead of judging, we can all make money! Again I stress, know your market fellow drivers! Shoots! Aloha!🤙🏽

Door Dash keeps lowering pay, hides tips, and cry’s if you are 5 minutes late to a restaurant you called to ask when the order will be done and they say 30minutes. If you cannot run your market how you know it works, then you just end up wasting time money and gas. So you know my answer is Iber Eates

Exactly. I got deactivated from DD for being 10-15min “late” and under the gun. If it’s the restaurants fault for not having the food ready it’s ok but if your in a traffic Jam or other circumstances occur they want to penalize the drivers?? Screw that. UberEats doesn’t put a timer on ur head and havnt had any complaints on delivery times. Especially if I reach out to the customer and explain the delay.

I like Uber eats better. I like the pay structure better on UE, a lot higher paying offers and good tips. I like no time restrictions too, DD is always rushing you for now reason. DD is busier so I still make more money on doordash than Uber Eats, but still prefer UE and will do those orders as much as I can over DD.

Tonight I worked for 3 hours on UE (first time driver). Did 5 deliveries and made almost 70 bucks w/ a $100 quest bonus. Can't complain about that. But, there won't always be a quest bonus that size, I'm sure. I took 5 out of maybe 10-12 offers. One of my deliveries gave a super generous $30 dollar tip so that is also skewing the earnings quite a bit. I just wanted to get a feel for using the app and getting the hang of the process. Tomorrow I'll go to our local power strip for a lunch and dinner drive and see what it's really about. So far, I like it. I hate being put on a erratic schedule and food delivery solves that problem. I also don't like being henpecked by annoying bosses or co-workers. So for now food delivery and rideshares are what I'll be doing.

I am fortunate enough to drive in two markets north New Jersey and Central Florida mainly Orlando area, for the past 2 years. Uber eats hands-down is by far the better of the two higher pay rates more consistent pay rates and better restaurants. DoorDash seems to be more consistent with fast food restaurants in my two areas. I have done Instacart Postmates Tasker Uber Uber eats and DoorDash. Uber has been and continues to be the best.

Doordash is just so bloated strict and power hungry. I feel like I'm working for an employer rather than being a subcontractor which is how I feel when I work for uber. I really do not like doordash and I really like to support new things I think customers are always right and I don't like saying this but I really hope doordash slows down because at this point they could buy a Lyft and I do not want over controlling and bloated apps to take over the market. Working for Uber especially when you do Uber Eats and uberX feels like a dream it's so easy and that's how it should be. Especially for part-timers working for doordash feel so meticulous and like I am working for a teacher in school or you're overly anxious cousin. What's the word frantic? Also people just pay less for doordash and I'm always in greasy restaurants and it just gets old after a while.

I'm in San Diego and I do UberEats probably 95% vs 5% Doordash. I just find UberEats easier to get orders and give myself more opportunities to get orders. I don't like only being able to get orders only when I'm in the specific area I pick but I will say I need to give Door Dash more opportunities in 2022 to give a better assessment of the two as it pertains to making financial sense for one over the other.

I’m in San Diego also. Mira Mesa is really good for always keeping busy. I do DD and UE. I also prefer UE over Doordash. I don’t like DD giving you orders that there is no possible way to pick up or deliver on their suggested time. If you know MiraMesa and their traffic, you know that’s next to impossible. I still do DD on peak dinner time once or twice a week.

I was kind of drivign for both and looked at a cost breakdown on Uber and saw that I was getting a $1.00 bonus per order for a "Zero Emissions incentive" since I drive a Tesla. I don't do deliveries much, but I really enjoy the thrill of driving the Tesla around so thought i'd mention the extra $1.00 per order for those that are considering driving an electric car and do a lot of deliveries.

On a side note yes the Tesla is extremely fun to drive, sometimes I just drive it around just for the sake of driving it.

I went to chik fil a yesterday for Uber eats and saw that chik is actively hiring for drivers paying $12.50 per hour and after yesterdays experience I can understand why. The customer told me I was the 3rd driver to get her order which didn’t make sense it was a decent payout and that chik is usually pretty fast. Anyway, she said she waited over an hour to get her food, when I got there they had to re make the order and while I was waiting, the customer cancelled. Chik fil A and UE both missed out on that money because of the other 2 who cancelled for whatever reasons..I hope chik doesn’t pull out of the 3rd party delivery they are a huge chain in my area as well as nationwide.

They won't be pulling out of DD. It's a huge part of their business. I don't think it's a common problem with Chick. The orders are usually pretty good and easy if the mileage is acceptable.

Hi Mike, great informative video! I deliver for both DD and UE. They do each have their pros and cons as you explained. DD tends to be busier in my market. While UE pay tends to be higher in my market. So it is close for me, but I would say overall I earn more with DD due to receiving more orders! Thank you and Happy 2022🥳

I live in Nashville and UE is always what people want. I’ve made over $600 for 20 hrs total driving I just started a week ago as a side gig. My only problem is Uber gives drivers high paying quests here, and not delivery . I’ve called several times they say they will change that in my inbox and add quests but it hasn’t been changed yet

I prefer Uber. Here in Memphis both are used a lot but more people use doordash, but I make the same money in less time using Uber. Also doordash is always taking you out the area where you select. And you most likely won’t get any new orders until you get back into that area

If I'm in my small home town of Asheboro, NC, Door dash is the only option. UberEats orders are rare. If I drive 35 to 40 miles to Greensboro, NC, a much larger city I can usually stay busy on UberEats and not bother with DD.

I'm in Pittsburgh too Mike. I don't venture outside of East Liberty and Shadyside. Ubereats and Doordash. It's honestly all algorithmic. I do it every other week, I never get low paying orders. ALSO, I go out between 6am-1pm then again between 6pm and 11pm. I dont do anything more than 3 miles away, and nothing under $6.50. Easy $200-$250/Day.

my acceptance rate is usually between 5% to 20%, so, i'm better off driving for dd as they're more tolerant of my selective deliveries. however, with an overwhelming number of posters preferring ue over dd, i just may have to be less selective and give ue a chance. i definitely do get tired of dd and their ridiculously low and unreasonable orders.

this is a great way to make decent money... just get a cheap car and take care of it... once you get around 200k either sell it or drive it till it dies... than grab another car... best to get an older car that was well maintained...i paid $2500 last year... next car i get will be a 30 mpg or better maybe a hybrid or all electric when i can find a good deal on used that i can get over 150 miles a charge on... I am guessing you still get 56 cent per mile deduction...so that more money each day for you to keep and not burn on gas... As long as i am over $1 per mile i m good..

The problem I have with doordash is the fact that my overall earnings are lowering due to saturation of drivers. Not to mention these new drivers will take about any order they get which is just encouraging no tips. Really frustrating

Let the newbies take the bad offers. The trick to be in a good area and cherry pick the hell out of the good offers. The volume in my market is high enough I average between a 15-20% acceptance rate and make good money. Many of the offers that do come through are indeed laughable. You can usually tell the high rejection rate of certain offers when you first log on and get a ton of bad offers others are not taking.

The elephant in the car (sorry) to me is the fact that none of the companies are addressing the tremendous increase in gas prices over the past year. It has impacted our profit in a fairly big way. I dash so much, the restaurants see me come in and start getting my order ready to hand to me. It's freaking lovely. I NEVER would've paid UE any mind, because I make 12-1400 weekly doordashing, but my lady just started doing UE, so I was looking up vids to compare and help her start. Come to find out she makes 240+ on a day she can work 10 hours or more, when I pretty much max out in DD at $200. Seeing your vids along with some others, has me wanting to do both whenever she is at her real career (RCIS/hospital) I didn't know UE was doing it like that!!!! My end goal is to make 15-1700 weekly. While wearing tank tops, flip flops, and smoking during each delivery 👀👀🤷🏾‍♂️

I do both. I definitely have been doing Door Dash way longer, but both are fine. I like that I can drive whenever for both apps, and as long as I drive during peak hours and only grab orders that are $1+ per mile, I can go home with between $75-$100 every day. Buffalo area

For me right now Uber Eats is like 10 times better it's a better platform it's easier to navigate the rating system is a lot better the only thing that I would change is there's a lot of tip baiters which really suck because I really don't understand when you except a job for a certain amount it shouldn't decreased it should go higher or stay the same but other than that I'm actually enjoying myself on ubereats I got a lot more cash tips that anyting and that's real nice

I don't know man my market is a little bit different than yours I work in the Washington DC area and Uber eats versus doordash I work both platforms as a matter of fact I started out doing doordash and I just thought I would throw Uber eats in the mix and I found out that I get more deliveries and I get paid more from Uber eats so now unfortunately I don't do doordash anymore and I got my start from doordash so like you said I think it just depends on where you work at

I use both DD and UE and find I make more with UE. It takes about 2 DD trips to make what I get for 1 UE delivery. That being said DD is more active in my area so when UE is not busy I fall back on DD. One thing you did not mention about the apps is UE app gives you the drop off location so I do not have to look at the map.

That ubereats fee calculation is no longer relevant. Yes they USED to pay a time/pickup/ drop-off/ mileage fee. They no longer do. Most orders have a standard base now like doortrash unless you have a boost/surge running. Yes they add a little more for long distance, but not like they used to

Also, Mike, I wanted to say that DD allows you to travel to different area's. Other apps not so much. There is a 2 week transfer or what have you. Along with a transfer back in 2 weeks, if you are vacationing. Meaning possible 4 weeks of no deliverying. I was able to dash from New Mexico driving thru Arizona and California. (I was in California for a month.) I dashed South San Francisco. Daly City, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Firebaugh, Turock, Livingston, Atwater, Merced, Chowchilla, Fresno, Bakersfield. Best of those? San Jose, South Francisco, Fresno, Santa Cruz. I would recommend those. In that order. They pay extra incentives in California. I am home based in Albuquerque so I am used to a big city setting. My point..lol. You can travel and earn with dash as you go. I am a Top Dasher. So dashing anytime is great. I have only done it since January 22. Started out lighthearted. I had gotten more serious in March. I achieved Top Dasher in no time when I put the dashing effort in. I had worked for USPS and UPS. I know how to deliver. DD is pretty simple and EASY. If people are looking to travel and dash. I do recommend you research. Mike has awesome knowledge. I just found his channel today. Wish I had found sooner. Happy dashing/deliverying. As a first time driver on doordash I went out today on my moped I didn't know I couldn't go online if my area is not busy so I went all the way to new Rochelle all the way from south Bronx just to sit around on the hot spot for 1 hour didn't get a single order so I just went home and apply for Uber eats hopefully i can get it going with Uber

Ive doing DoorDash for a while .. yesterday I started doing Uber eat… what it confuse me is when I get to the restaurant to pick up the order, do Uber eat app know I arrived to the restaurant automatically or I have to click somewhere that I arrived like DoorDash? Because I noticed that sometime even I'm already in the restaurant waiting the food it shows " arriving shortly " like I'm close by but not there yet… can someone tell me! Thank you!

So well made video but you are missing so much important information, and emphasize the not so important. Not sure when was the last time you did Doordash or Uber but you need to update this: 1. Doordash requires you to schedule in advance. So you are less flexible to go to work whenever you want. With Uber you just turn on the app and you can start receiving orders. That is one big advantage Uber has over DD. 2. That is a big one: doordash started requiring drivers to stay in the zone where they were scheduled to work. So if you are having a delivery that takes you 8 miles out of your zone, your chances of getting new orders in your new location is very slim, unless it is a pick time. So you basically have to drive all the way back to your zone in order to start getting new orders. You are wasting time, gas, and add more miles on your car. The only way around it is to end the dash and hopefully be able to start dashing in the new zone you are at. This is again, time consuming and you risking not being able to dash if it is not busy. 3. I deliver in North DFW where there are tons of restaurant. I get an average of 4 orders of UBER for every doordash order. In other words UBER took over most market where I live. A year or 2 ago it was Doordash that had more orders. So market shares or whatever has nothing to do with which service offers more business to drivers. 4. With UBER you don't have "deliver by..." like doordash and there is less interaction with the app. Meaning you don't have to touch and confirm every step. The navigating system is part of the app. It is so much more convenient with UBER while doordash requires you to confirm when you got to the restaurant, confirm receiving the order, confirm the items, then press nevigate and and some more interactions with the app when you deliver. I found doordash app to be less stable then UBER. 5. Doordash pays some bonuses in pick hours so that is one thing they do better than UBER I would say currently UBER win big time in the area where I deliver and with that stay in the zone thing of doordash, I think with uber you can save more time, money on gas, nd overall make more money per day.

In theory yess technically you are never sure to get a tip ever, but im at 100 delivery and it didn’t happens once, i either get the tip annouced or more. Give an excellent service and the customer will tip

I started with UE but had to go 37 miles as my town doesn’t have much UE participation. I did that for 2 days until I realized DD had more participation in my town. I drive a Chevy Bolt and for the first day of DD at 30 miles and 3 hrs, I used 8KW of energy. Less than a dollar of electricity. I like the DD app better, but I like the UE delivery options more. With DD I don’t have to commute.

I work in a college town and have gotten but never taken $1.50 to $2.50 orders on uber eats. I haven't tried DD yet so I can't compare money wise. But I have noticed in most of the restaurants though DD has several orders to 1 or 2 UE orders.

I do both apps. Some days Door Dash is giving me crap orders and other days it's Uber. The other day I did get a very nice $16 order from Uber only going 4 miles. I jumped all over that one. What's weird is there was no tip on it. Not complaining, if more orders were like that I wouldn't care so much about tips.

When comes to deliver food with doordash specially now for example today 1/15/2022 i work in Schaumburg, Illinois i start at 12:00 pm and now 4:48 pm i have not made a one delivery because of what they paying for each order it's like if you except the price they give you meaning you working for free 5 miles for $4.00 12 miles for $7.00 8.9 miles for $3.50 or they send me 2 orders combined for price of one order i don't know who's the crazy that going to deliver those orders they just send me an order 3.3 miles for $3.00 with 13 items and today Saturday and I'm in busy area i think doordash now living on hungry broke drivers who don't care about their cars and their health who except each and every order regardless of how much money they get and how much miles they drive. Otherwise if no one except low paying orders doordash will increase his prices

UE and DD rule my area but mostly DD. This is a good thing for me I mostly take UE orders. Drivers in my area favor DD orders leaving me with more UE orders. They just plain pay better and it's a far superior app.

I multi app and its the best thing for me as a side hustle; I average about alittle over 30/hr and am saving up to buy a tesla in SoCal and this side gig has been good to me. I hope predictions about decline in use for app is wrong because I've seen major demand in the market spending as a whole and with small increases in SoCal population I don't think the demand will slow but time will tell

If you're a cherry picker, watch out. Support for UE told me that we need an 85% Acceptance rate or some app features may not be available (payouts, distance, etc).

Uber Eats social the whole run at first you want to do a screenshot if you want to remember the route, doordash I don't recall how you can get back to see the route. As far as item count you absolutely can see item count Uber order now you can't see it before you accept it. You can see the item count before you accept it by switching out of the app letting the floater pop up click on the floater then click on the menu switch then you will see either a list of menus items or if it says items unknown you might see in the lower left hand corner total number of items but it also might also say a number of items unknown it really depends Well you won't see the tips on the total payout in the lower right hand corner on that menu screen you will see that the payout matches. However Once you've picked up the order at the restaurant you can now see what the total payouts going to be switch out of the app briefly click on the floater and click on the menu button and lower right hand corner will show you the total payout including all tip, that's pretty cool you won't be able to see that before you accept the order nor before you pick up the food at the restaurant but you will see it once you click picked up at the restaurant.

Crazy how my market (Montreal) is different on Uber. We still have the multipliers / amplifiers but there's rarely any surges except in a small spot downtown. Plus we don't see the tips in advance which really sucks... It's weird because Doordash here is identical to Pittsburgh from what I see but UE is so different. Is there any other places where UE looks like it does here?

I can move and zoom in and out on the map when offered a a delivery on doordash before accepting. When I tried UE, it wouldn't let me do that. Frankly, that alone makes me more likely to use DD.

It's the customer not wanting to tip. Sorta like being at a restaurant and serving food. Some people don't tip. So If you are getting a lot of 2 to 4 dollar runs its because there are cheap people trying to get there food without a tip. New people will accept those orders so Door Dash is constantly looking for new people.
