Useful tips for some of the enemies you've encountered: Screech: It doesn't like lights. Eyes: It can move. Halt: Pay close attention. Gloombats: NEVER use a light source and shine it at them or else 19:30, basically a death wish. Useful info: While climbing ladders screech can't hurt you, it will fade away. Don't be afraid to use or waste any glow sticks, they're pretty much everywhere. If you see a purple-blueish aura all over the room, its eyes, he's about to spawn in. If you hear a "psst" far from you or not near you at all, then screech isn't on you yet. Only when you hear it right above you. Random fun fact: Screech is actually a giggle, just that it got infected by seek and now it apparently mutated. Thats all hope it helped Merg!!

While I’m here, I’ll give you a good rundown of the new Doors mechanics since it’s been quite a while: Gloombats are the bugs that attack in swarms. They’ll attack any players using light sources. It’s best to use glow sticks to avoid stepping on the eggs on the floor. Giggles are those white things on the ceiling that jump at you. If you hear their giggling, that means one is nearby. Shine a light at it or hit it with a Glowstick to stun it. (The latter grants an achievement.) Also, if you’re playing with someone else and they’ve got a Giggle on their face, you can mash E on your keyboard to get rid of it. This will grant an achievement as well. When you make it to door 150, you’ll have to dodge and then outrun a Grumble, which is a matured Giggle that is much larger and more vicious. Then you’ll have to wander the Nest solving puzzles and avoiding even more Grumbles. Grumbles will chase after you if you’re in their line of sight. You can shine a light at them to slow them down, or to distract them if they haven’t noticed you. Once the bridge is down, make a run for it! I won’t spoil the rest of the game, but I hope this helps! :) Edit: Oh, right, I forgot. Those doors with the fire sign mean the next room is a Firedamp leak. Staying in those rooms for too long will cause you to die from suffocation because of the gas in there. Also, whatever you do, do not ignite any fire-based item (a Lighter, for instance) as doing so will cause the gas to explode and instantly kill you.

Merg, the reason why your dying to the gloom bats is because you are using a light source, they hate the light and will start attacking. IF you throw a glow stick they destroy it, however they don’t seem to mind laser pointers. also don’t use a lighter in fire damp rooms (the ones that have red/orange gas in them) using a lighter in a fire damp sets the room on fire and kills you immediately

Gloom bats don't attack you when you throw glowsticks in my experience. Of course, that could just be because they're not super close to me when I throw them, and they still make the glowstick stop lighting the nearby area quickly, but yeah.

Fun Fact: Doors has a lot of references to Undertale, the Elevator Jam in floor 1 sounding very, VERY similar to Undertale OST 54 (Hotel). Also, there is an achievement in DOORS called "In plain sight", where the description is "Quickly, behind that conveniently shaped lamp!" as a direct reference to the Undertale cutscene. ALSO, Jeff from Doors is possibly based of of Temmie in Undertale, needing tips (written as tip2) to go to college. TLDR, there are a lot of references in Doors to Undertale, meaning that LSPLASH and Redibles are probably Undertale fans. (Note: My bad if I missed anything from Doors: The Mines, as I don't really want spoilers and I'm beating it for myself, so I actually didn't watch the video, similar to an average youtube commenter). (Note 2: Doors: Floor 3 is gonna likely before June 2025, as Redibles said that the reason Doors: The Mines took longer because of some legal issues that were unnamed, optimization, and some upgrades to Floor 1).

Monsters merg have encountered and how to deal with them: Hide: Bro was on floor one but this floor with extra mechanics, his in every locker and a heat beat minigame will start and get faster till you leave the hideing spot he will then appear in the spot you hid in so u cant reuse it (very anti ambush cheese) Rush: Bro Hide Screech: Bro just look. Giggle: Another one...? first screech now this thing! They cling to ceilings and jump you when u get too close. You can shine a flashlight, laser pointer or throw a glowstick at them to stun them. there giggles make them very obvious. Dupe: Don't pick the wrong door. Count as you go Eyes: Don't look Goombats: Easily the most annnoying imo, they attack light so dont have a light on, use glowsticks to light ur way, they wont last long however since they attack them and break them. You can use the laser pointer to distract them also. Figure: Bro is vibing Halt: Progress untill the screen glitches with lots of turn around arrows, backtrack till it happens again. Repeat till you reach the exit of the room. Its a game of back and forth
