They also have problems with the parking brake cable that doesn't release when they are shot that causes the same scenario.

hi,thank u very much for the tutorial its really helpfull if you dont mind pls. around 2:54 / 6:56 of this video when you adjusted the drum brake , should the drum spin without touching the brakes or how tight should it be? thank u
@dorifutodorima
@dorifutodorima 5 жыл бұрын
I tighten the drum brake until the rotor won't rotate. Then I back off the adjuster a few turns. There should only be slight drag.

As long as the rotor thickness is above the minimum spec and not badly warped, it should be fine

when i see the video, I see that you regulatte the manual brake, and you do something after check rotation of the rotor, seems like you screw some bolt or nut, I can't see. I do the job in my 2000 toyota celica and seems okay. I have doubts in the clips and wire instalation, and in the rotor regulation, last operation.

for adjusting the parking brake i do this: rotate the piece inside the drum (both), after that , I put one theet in the hand brake, next rotate both rotors. trying to equalize the rotate resistante in both. after that mouting wheels. Ok?
