@@CYKenny02 honestly, I believe that the event for AMG this month may reveal a Fantastic 4 wave as they are the last major marvel part missing from the game. I personally would love figures like Doom, Human Touch, Thing and Galactus to be playable.

I like most of Dormammu's kit. That 8 cost though is daunting. Action economy, lack of throws and susceptibility to some basic pushes makes me reticent to use him. Very nice large model though.

Watched a few videos with him in tts play. The comments seemed to be meh on Dormammu but I give it will take a several iterations of squads before we can hammer down an effective squad to bring with Dormammu. Nonetheless when someone pulls out Dormammu in a face to face play it is going to be quite a scene to behold this titan at the table. Thanks for the tips in the Good, Bad and Combo section Nate.

Bob will be doing the dark lord's bidding for me. Bring on the power to help fire the rocket more often, and don't worry too much about damaging him for having too much power because it won't defeat him anyway.

I am excited to run him with Bob and Cassandra Nova TBH. Bob can be a power battery for Dormammu and Cassandra has alot to do with positioning characters to maximize Miasma. Throw in a Shuri and Okoye for defense tech and rerolls, and done!

I am stuck on Dormammu - he looks game warping as you described him; however, it feels like he has some real cheap Achilles heels with being pushed around.

Most abilities have size restrictions, and his larger base makes it more difficult to get good angles any time you are pushing or throwing him.

@@TheGamersGuild He does not look at size, no, but he does still look at the defense dice pool. While not AS meaty, it's still rather hefty on Dormammu and has caused quite a few one shots in the past for me, so I'm confident in him.

I think I was playing wrong... when a character has 1 health left and has a bleed or is outside of the gamma shelter or is holding a cosmic cube... do they get the score? And they are out of the next round? They don't just come back injured the next round?

So bleed triggers at the end of a characters activation not at the end of a round. So if they only had 1 health and then took the bleed damage they wouldn’t be scoring. Gamma shelters and Mutant Madman traps will deal damage after scoring, but before clean up so if an effect dazes them they will get to flip and be ready to go for the next turn. Flames of Faltine and Cubes are different because the damage is done at the beginning of a turn in the power phase instead of the end of a turn.

Not specific to this video but I am looking to get into the game but haven't found a simple answer to this question. To play competitively, do I need to buy (most) every expansion for the cards (like Warhammer Underworlds) or are all the cards linked to a the model(s) in the box?

Hey Brad, there is probably an argument that there are 3 “chase” tactic cards, but for the most part character packs tactic cards are focused on the affiliation or character card. Thankfully 2 of 3 of those packs also come with solid characters that can be flexed into several lists.

Can the coop scenario that comes with the Dormammu character be played against the existing roster of characters or do you really need the new wizards to beat him and be competitive against him?

Do you think he is a good buy for someone who (so far) only has the Core Set? Adding a new affiliation and a centrepiece model seems good but just aware it might be better to pick up other things first. Hey Alan, if you are wanting a center piece model it’s hard to deny the cool factor he brings. Personally I would flesh out an affiliation or two before picking him up. Since he is the price of 2 normal expansions. But at the same time I can’t deny the absurd flexibility he brings to a roster to swap into a whole new game plan at the cost of a single roster spot.

Dormammu has the same power amount as Thanos if he runs 2 gems( power and mind). How do you feel he compares to an 8 threat Thanos because power for power, that’s a fair comparison

Man, great question. Thanos is a bit more tanky and more like a support piece with his deaths decree and cosmic portal compared to Dormammu who’s attacks should often put Thanos to shame. I think they are both worth their weight, in threat but I think Dormammu is the much more splashable character to give your roster a whole lot of versatility.
