the fact that couple decided to make an actual "tourist attraction" out of it doesn't sit right with me at all. this is something you can't make such humour out of and I think with big serial killer cases like this it sensationalises the case and makes the criminal a "celebrity" and completely disregards and disrespects the victims. @april-q8q4 жыл бұрын
@@sanj3706 Very true. But we don't really know if that was what they were going for. Yes, the house continued to get a lot of attention after "decorating" the place with stuff associated with the murders, but maybe they were just sick of people asking if they've "ever had any encounters of the undead" or if they "regret making the decision to live there." Like you've mentioned, I'm not saying what they did was "right" but if I lived there, I wouldn't want people to think I'm "weird" just because of the place I live in. Though, I think we can all agree that adding all of.. you know...THAT isn't gonna make anything easier for them if that was the case. This was recommended to me and it’s crazy because my mom and dad lived RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from her. I asked my mom her experience with Dorothea and she said she never really talked with her because she had so many cats around her house, She (Dorothea) would put stuff up to push the cats away because they would dig but it didn’t really work. Then my mom didn’t get it but after Dorothea was caught she understood why she didn’t want the cats to dig (the bodies). My mom said she had nightmares after Dorothea was caught for months. When I was a little kid we had those fundraisers where you went around to your neighbors houses and asked them if they wanted to buy anything. This couple has bought some candles from me and when I went to drop them off at their house they had a sign that said anyone who knocked on their door would be feed to their dogs...yeah needless to say I set the candles on the porch and booked it the hell out of there. It might be a funny thing to an adult but as a 7yr old? I went out of my way to avoid walking past their house ever again.
@bazberry183 жыл бұрын
I actually live in Sacramento and visited the home the other night! Fortunately, I found that the son of the new owners’ was sitting out front and happily shared some stories with me about the house. He had actually told me that there is speculation that the head of the second victim is still under the ground of the stairs leading up to the door because it was cemented over during the time span of her killings and police agencies weren’t able to dig underneath that specific area. I personally felt a powerful energy standing on top of the property but he said he never experienced anything paranormal himself, but did at times feel an energy that would make him a little more frightened than others. He mentioned his 95-year-old grandmother (which is still living there), sees a man standing in her room from time to time. He also mentioned that Ghost Adventures did an episode on the house once. His name is Robert and loves to talk about the house if anyone is in the Sacramento area and would like to walk by, he’s frequently outside and is super open about why his parents bought the house and what they’ve experienced since. Thanks for the videos, I thoroughly enjoyed them since this is local to me & am now binge watching everything else on your channel lol! Cheers!
