There's a live recording, from 1974, of Frank Sinatra saying that to the Woody Herman Band before their solo ('I've Got You Under My Skin', from 'The Main Event (Live)'). Given Dave's eclectic tastes I wouldn't be surprised if he borrowed the phrase from Frank. 😊

Can't believe DLR broke his nose barely an hour before in the sound check when he missed the mic stand catch. Just pushed through. Seems out of it though. Maybe pain killers! Legend.
@nightfall93713 жыл бұрын
It wasn’t even soundcheck. It was actually the song they were performing for tv. They started out with Panama and that was the one shown on kimmel. DLR broke his nose while doing his spinning bar routine. He actually got through the first verse and chorus while constantly wiping his nose since he was bleeding bad. He walked off during the guitar solo to seek some help, then told the crowd what happened, Eddie played improvised solos to keep the crowd entertained and when he patched up they restarted. The tv actually showed the routine then used the take from after he was patched up and you can’t even tell they spliced it other than the camera switch. Look up David lee Roth incident and KZbin and you can watch both takes. The vid is about 15 min long and it’s camera footage from almost the front row

Despite breaking his nose right at the start of the performance David Lee Roth did pretty good, right before the performance you completely shattered the bridge of his nose with a metal bar while he was doing a stage performance bit, he later said it completely f***** up his voice but he still did the song

Stop doing satan's horns. Unless you want to end up with satan in hell later. Denounce satan and willingly accept God=Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and repent from your wrong doings. As wrong doers we all are we must do so.

Le Roth lives very healthy and is virtually a vegetarian and he has practiced martial arts and yoga and other stuff that's s'posed to be good for you. Seeing him now makes me glad that I drank and smoked and ate crap all my life.

Probably the most humble guy in rock and roll, his spirit was as good as his guitar playing, what a great father too. I will always remember his boyish smile playing concerts in his youth. What a great guy not to even mention his talent. RIP Eddie, gone too soon.
