Zelena had to confirm that the good witch cared about her and clearly not her melting was a facade and proved her point that the good witch was selfish not being a true sister I kinda fell bad because this proves my point light and dark magic will always lack something

I don't wanna be the "devil's advocite" or whatever, but Zelena chose her destiney to be wicked/evil. Of course, this might have been a test and she wanted to get rid of Dorothy but she could have also chosen to do her best and be the good that defeats the evil, and let go of her envy. HOWEVER, I do understand that an hour ago Zelena was still spying on Regina and green with envy so you can't change overnight

How? Zelena attacked Dorothy. Even if it was just her trying to see if Dorothy would fight back and what Glinda's reaction would be, Zelena was self-fulfilling her own prophecy that Dorothy would replace her. Had she not given in to jealousy, Dorothy would have still gone home and everything would have been fine.
