To expand on the whole "experience make you a god" thing, we are actually told this through the tome of knowledge. As most of you know, its a book this gives you experience, but you can also see that this item says "That which raises beast to man and man to god." This pretty much confirms that theory, good job! Thanks for putting your time into these videos, I really love learning about all of the lore behind DotA.

Man, thanks a whole lot Slacks. You give us what the other part of the DotA2 community wants, and that's lore. A lot of this is also theorized, but Valve doesn't give us much to work with nore gives us any solid lore, so your loregasms have been fucking fantastic. You have been a great asset to the competitive scene with your antics during the Majors and whatnot, along with providing the community with information on the DotA2 world. Doesn't talk down to viewers(unless being sarcastic), intelligent, hilarious, clever, and DANG, HAVE YOU SCENE THAT BEAUTIFUL SQUIDWARD CHIN?! It has truly been an honor to watch the guy for more than a year. "YOU MUST PLAY 'I STAPLE TAPEWORMS ON MY PENIS' FOR THOS GROSS SIN" spam went unpunished in the chat of his last stream, the dude is patient. Also, his suits make him look chubby until he slaps a black shirt on. It's creepy, yet intriguing. EDIT: The Dead god lore was fantastic. That was an incredible explanation! The Head canon is what I hope is canon. A necessity that balances out the most powerful from oppressing the world. Truly, not just a villain, but an equalizer.

I have a Theorie about Selemene that I wanted to pitch already. This video is propably the best place to pitch it from. I recently looked through some dota lore. And looking up Selemene I got an idea. Could selemene be the radiant? Not as be on the radiants side but radiant itsself. Selemene's shrine is built around a piece of moon that fell from the sky. So very propably its an anchient infested piece of rock that fell at the mad moon's explosion. But it must be radiant infested as the moonlight forest still stands bright and hasnt been burnt like dire would have its forests. Not to mention radiants signature is the colour blue, like moonlight, and lushes forests. Not to mention radiant is the one of the two ancients whos more spiritual and brainwashy of the two. So it would fit it to have a cult like the dark moon order. The argument against this is that a moon still seems to exist even with the man moon being broken and selemene said to be the godess of the remaining moon... now though... i have a theory. The dark moon order has one quest aside serving selemene. That is to prevent "dark moon" A cataclysmic event. Yet they have rivals. The dark moon horde, who want to cause the dark moon to happen. My theory is this. The dark moon event DID happen! Its the mad moons explosion. But there is still a second moon! Selemene's moon. What if the debris of themad moon didnt only hit the planet, but the second moon as well? Turning it into a second mad moon on which the ancients fight for controll like they did on the mad moon? Meanwhile they have their subordinates on the planet fight the dota battles for them. Radiant however made a smart move in the hope to gain controll of the remaining moon. And created the dark moon order. They are people, invluenced by radiant, who pray for selemene, who is radiant in disguise, to power up radiant on its battle on the second moon against dire. This gives radiant a decissive advantage and could make it win the remaining moon for itsself. Dire, not liking this of corse but unable to make its own moon cult, created the datk moon horde with the intention to disrupt the dark moon order so radiant and dire will rip the remaining moon appart again just like the first mad moon. Thus causing a second dark moon event and taking that possible advantage of having its own sole controlled celestial body, away from the radiant. This leaves us maybe with an interesting additional conclusion. What if one of the many battlefields of dota, or maybe only battlefield of dota, is the very forest that Selemene's temple is hidden in? What if the radiant base is the Temple of mene?! It could be afterall. Dire is not know for its forests, yet their map side is also full of trees. The dota map could be the eternal battle in the Nightsilver Woods. Luna and Miranas home and the location of the Temple of mene. Why isnt luna and mirana there always you ask then? Well... The dark moon horde once used a unique arcane spell to make the entire dark moon order fall asleep. The legend though is that 5 champions defended the Temple on the orders place to stop the dark hord from taking it, until the spell was lifted. Who sais that happened only once? 5 champions defending, who are neither luna or mirana... does sound familiar. And luna and mirana sometimes not both being on the field but only one of them? They are rivals. Tgey would want all the glory for selemene for themselves and not the other. So they might often just....forget to mention to eachother that the temple needs defending. Only flaw in this theory is that i have bo explenation to why the fighting continues when radiance looses. Only explenation i have s that theres multiple shrines that the dire keeps mistaking for the actual temple and never gets tothe actual temple of mene. But the lore only mentions One shrine and One temple. Anyway. My main headcannon is that Selemene is not her own thing but the Radiant in disguise What do you guys all think?

Items, hero ability flavor texts, items, comics, so many! Loregasm galore indeed! Also has anyone ever noticed that there are dozens of versions of hell as well? The hell that terrorblade once called home before his capture, a hell that lion has been to and back and back to hell and back (love that dialogue), and could the labrynth of souls that visage oversees be a form of hell or another punishment from hell. As an enigma player, one blackhole can change the whole pace or fate of the game. The best thing to do when you’re down to 2 or 1 racks you’ll have to abandon the thought of pushing, depending in the situation. Once you successfully defended your base and/or died from the team fight, do not buyback
