What you are saying is totally wrong about man-animal conflicts.. there is an evidence based reseach on "Journal of Animal"(mdpi) by Qingming et al which clearly shows how wildlife tourism increases man animal conflicts in Asia.. there are countless other studies as well about similar things in Africa and South America as well.. dont try to trivialise something you dont fully understand.. What you are saying is just your opinion based on your extremely limited knowledge and based on your interactions with some people, not a research finding. May be its time you accepted that research scientists know more about these things than you do.. Even in Kerala, there was recently a report in the hindu how man animal conflict has grown in Kerala in forests that a higher tourist volume. Its not a scientific study but its a presentation of facts; and these facts clearly show how ecotourism is a horrible idea as far as protection of forests go. Even you inadvertently ended up saying "the deer has gotten used to seeing jeeps".. that's exactly how animals are.. they get used to humans.. which is exactly why its legally permissible to kill man eaters(animals that attack humans once will continue to attack humans).. If you want to make videos and money from traveling please do it.. because the greedy governments want to glorify ecotourism and make more and more money from it.. no-one is stopping you.. but stop spreading absolutely baseless opinions just to make yourself seem like David Attenborough..

These are generic reasons that kids learn in school for their Enviromental sciences examinations. The question is simple, why are they not afraid to come out more often now. Animals have always entered human settlements when there's shortage of food and water. However, these days they are comfortable around humans and that's the difference these articles talk about. And these are not just any articles or opinions granted out by youtubers and forest officials. These are peer reviewed works that have been scrutinized by some of the most renowned experts in world. Do you really think you've countered everything written in those with your 5th grade EVS book copy-pastes??? Bandipur itself sees over 2 lakh visitors every year. Are you telling me that such a huge inflow does nothing bad to the forests??? And that animals don't lose their natural inhibitions in spite of seeing so many humans, human noises and vehicles around them??? Just look at that leopard, it's walking so casually. Meaning it's completely lost its fear of humans which usually prevents them from entering settlements even when they are hungry. Animals entering human settlement does more damage to the forest than it does to human settlements. Do you even realise that the most affected creatures by ecotourism are insects ??? Many lantern fly species, butterflies, moths and planthoppers that were only seen in deep forests are now seen in areas outside reserves. The commercialisation of the Bannerghatta area caused large scale relocation of many butterfly species from forested areas to even urban areas. Why not talk to entomologists to understand how this affects the native bird population. And invasive species like Senna were planted by the forest department themselves in the name of social forestry and compensatory afforestation after they cleared land in the name of tourism development along the edges of forests, agriculture and for timber. They still continue to do this nonsense even now but with other species such as acacia auriculiformis. The worst part is the forest department uses it as a source of revenue as well in South Kerala. I repeat you can make money from these videos, you can have fun as well.. but stop making it seem like you are saving the forests and the world with your fake "sustainable" and "responsible" tourism rhetoric..
