Gooey chocolatey cookies with 2 types of chocolate! These cookies are thick and soft and feature not only white chocolate but its best friend, dark chocolate! The two make an absolutely incredible and delicious combo. These make the perfect snack or dessert!
This recipe is best made with chocolate chunks that you cut up yourself but you can use chocolate chips if that's what you have on hand
Steps:
1. Cut chocolate into chunks
2. Melt butter
3. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix everything until it's combined.
4. Add vanilla extract and an egg. Mix until combined.
5. Add all the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt). Once again, mix until combined and there are no visible signs of flour.
6. Add the chocolate chunks and mix the dough until the chocolate is evenly distributed throughout. (optional: save some chocolate chunks to place on top of the dough after they are divided up into balls)
7. Divide the batter into 13 even balls of dough (2 tbsp per ball).
8. Refrigerate the dough for 1 hour. Even better if you can refrigerate it over night to really help the dough do its thing and develop flavour.
9. Bake the cookies at 350F (177C) for 12 minutes.
10. Let them cool then enjoy! : )
